COMPARED TO THE SAME DAY LAST YEAR, “CBS SUNDAY MORNING” WAS UP +8% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +6% IN VIEWERS AND +7% IN ADULTS 25-54

 

 

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Dec. 2, 2012.  CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 4.1/11 with 5.79m viewers, 1.5/07 in adults 25-54.

 

CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best households and viewer performances since Feb. 19, 2012.  Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in households (from 3.8/10), +6% in viewers (from 5.44m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/07).

 

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (3.8/10 from 3.6/10), +3% in viewers (5.38m from 5.21m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.

 

Sunday’s broadcast featured Serena Altschul’s profile of writer-director-actor Alan Cumming of the CBS hit series THE GOOD WIFE; Tracy Smith’s report on advanced genetic testing that makes it possible for people to learn if they’ll develop serious illnesses years into the future; Martha Teichner’s look at new information about Thomas Jefferson; and Seth Doane’s segment on how actor Ben Affleck is helping improve the lives of cacao farmers in the Democratic Republic of Congo by teaming them up with American chocolate manufacturers.
