Nothing CBS does in the morning works.

“CBS This Morning” should called “Oprah’s CBS This Morning”. It is clear to me since the beginning of CBS This Morning that Oprah is running things behind the scenes starting with the hiring of Oprah’s cronie Gayle King and the firing of Erica Hill a much better and talented journalist.
CBS knows that it can never compete with the NBC and ABC morning news shows, so it decided to hitch a ride on Oprah’s coat tails. The 11% increase in ratings is due to women obviously reacting to Oprah’s influence in producing CBS This Morning.
CBS has marketed this show as a serious news show. I would have to dispute that. Every now and then I turn on CBS This Morning to see what is going on and on more than one occasion I have seen not-so-serious news like Gayle king covering Television awards ceremonies like the Academy Awards.
I grew up watching CBS news with Walter Cronkite and is so very disappointing to me what CBS has done with its morning news show. I now watch the Today Show and am glad to see Erica Hill at NBC.
