The album included the 12x platinum blockbuster single “Just the Way You Are,” which hit No. 1 in multiple countries across the globe and won the critically acclaimed artist a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” claimed two additional hit singles: the 10x platinum “Grenade” and 6x platinum “The Lazy Song.” Following his worldwide success with “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” Mars created the critically acclaimed ballad “It Will Rain” for the original motion picture soundtrack for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.”

On Dec. 11, Mars will release his highly anticipated sophomore album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” including the singles “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Young Girls.” Mars and his songwriting/production team The Smeezingtons (Mars, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine) partnered with heavyweight producers, including Jeff Bhasker, Mark Ronson and Diplo to create the 10-track album. Mars has received an abundance of accolades to date, including ASCAP Song of the Year, a Billboard Music Award for Top Radio Song for “Just the Way You Are,” a BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist, an American Music Award for Favorite Male Artist in Pop/Rock, two MTV European Music Awards, including Best New Artist and the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Male Artist. Oh no, Diamond……………….

  • Raphael

    Go 5H!

  • Sam

Not really surprised bout the top 4. Although, I think particularly for this week, Carly should have squeezed out on top. Tate showed a lack of range with his cover of Livin’ on a prayer.

I expect that Carly will win. Emblem3 will probably get signed by Simon anyway, like he alluded to in another Zap2it article.

  • TVMAN

Happy for Fifth Harmonie, did not expect this girl group to get to top 4, but they’ll need a miracle to get into the finale. E3, Carly, and Tate have strong fan bases. Go 5H!

  • JONNYSBRO

I really mostly like this top 4. Any four of these could have a career outside the show. I love Carly she is mega talented but Tate could be the biggest winner as country music sells like crazy. Also Simon hates country and it would be hysterical if Simon had to give Tate 5 million LOL. Emblem 3 are too douchebaggy for me. I really enjoy Fifth Harmony, I think they have flaws but they are the sweetest girls I think I have seen. They are so sweet and geninue those girls.

  • Sam

@TVMAN I originally didn’t expect them to make it either. They pretty much have ranked in the bottom of my personal rankings the whole run. However, I’m pretty sure their cover of Demi’s “Give Your Heart a Break” is what pushed them ahead of Diamond. It was their best performance so far IMO.

  • Sam

Also, I hope Nick/Disney or somebody gives Diamond a contract like they did or Rachel Crow from last year. She is such a personable and positive person. And, she even kept her head up and avoided balling out in tears like Rachel did when she missed out on the top 4.

  • CrimTV

I hate the final 4! CeCe deserved to get through she was amazing! I don’t like Tate, Carly is boring, Emblem3 are rubbish and the only one I like a bit is Fifth Harmony

  • Tellitlikeitis

I good top 4 (even though I don’t care for the boy band they do have some talent). Thank goodness they finally got rid of the last no talent: CeCe. She shouldn’t have even been in the top 12.

  • Jason

With Simon as their mentor, if Fifth Harmony goes all the way, Simon will have the girl version of One Direction on his hands as well as One Direction themselves. In short, the UK and US could mesh pretty well for Simon.

  • Lewis

The winners don’t receive 5 million per se. They receive what Simon considers 5 million worth of studio time, promotion etc.

One Direction being such a huge success was pure luck. X Factor UK has been going on for over a decade and they finally struck gold with a group even though they were no where close of winning the show last year. They were there at the right time at the right moment.

  • Lewis

To all the CeCe haters, at least Cece can sing better than all of the members on both the groups left. EmblemThree and Fifth Harmony sound horrible. They made it to the top 4 because they’re a group so have bigger fanbases, but with LA Reid constantly bashing Fifth Harmony for a reason and Demi doing the same to Emblem I’m amazed that they even got this far. I thought this was supposed to be a singing contest? If Carly Rose doesn’t win the show is a fix.

  • #1 Cece Hater~

    @Lewis
LA Reid bashed Cece on several occasions the best one was when he said that she should have been gone a lonng time ago. Simon said she wasn’t worth a 5 million dollar recording contract. Both these men work on finding talent and they clearly didn’t see that in Cece. Cece’s pitch was everywhere and her voice was just all out bad. I do agree with you that Emblem 3 sound horrible. If it weren’t for their looks i don’t think they’d be in the top 4. Fifth Harmony though have really grown as a group. They’re all powerhouse singers and i’d bet individually they sound 10x better than Cece.

  • Babar

So happy for Fifth Harmony for making it to the Top 4. Although I really like them, I know they have no chance of making it to the Finale.

  • hahaha

hahaha “#1 Cece Hater” your username. So i have the #2? Haha

  • Lewis

Powerhouse singers? Carly Rose is a powerhouse singer, but still not of the same standard as the likes of Amanda and Trevin from The Voice. Those 5 girls can’t even sing in harmony so LA said it right when they should just rename themselves the “5th individuals”.

  • Just Desserts

Carly Rose “Chosen One” Jepsen-Sonenclar suckssss!!!

    So does Tate “WGWG” Stevens.

    E3 can’t sing.

No Harmony isn’t really an act.
