I don’t understand that old saying. English is not my first language. Are you suggesting I’m crazier than Petar because I don’t remember gloating like that here.”

Sorry, I should remember that figures of speech do not translate well.

The original expression is attributed to an American writer, Damon Runyan, “The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that’s the way to bet.”

My attempt at humor was to relay that nothing, ever, stops the crazy from commenting.

WOWsa with Scandel not even going down in the finals. ABC has a hot one in this show. Its really truly captivating, riveting and gives me gossebumps and its awesome Shonda wrote a show thats not a medical show. I never cared for Private Practice at all. This show is a return to form for Shonda. A third season pickup will be happening soon. ABC won’t move the show at all if its doing this well, if it aint broke don’t fix it.

@Chris Yes, POI has more viewers but it skews old and that just doesn’t appeal to advertisers. Besides, Greys is a nine year old show and POI is only in its second season, yet can’t beat Greys in the 18-49 demo.

  • Chris O’Brien

loves this! @Rob 60990 says it the best! Grey’s is still winning and Let the haters of Scandal hate, because guess what, it didn’t adjust down!

  • jess

i’m not surprised at tvd’s drop. the end of last weeks episodes turned off a lot of viewers. damon/elena may be popular on the internet, but i think most casual viewers prefer the other pair.

  • Kate

@Jess couldn’t agree more with what you said. I had a feeling that would be the case. I didn’t even bother watching last week’s episode after I heard what happened and don’t plan on tuning in again until this mess is all over.

Not surprised by the drop for TVD.

Of course Scandal increased this week. There was a huge cliffhanger and they promised Fitz and Olivia flashbacks this week. Last season’s Fitz and Olivia flashback was no doubt the highlight of the season. Since there isn’t any of that next week, it won’t increase.

:( POI adjusted down that much. They need to stop messing with the schedule and put it on for a number of weeks and let it build momentum as it always tends to hit series high or whatever then its of the following week etc. Elementay getting the superbowl slot is just a waste its already running out of steam

You are right about the tv week. I just realized that I posted
Sunday to Saturday when I meant to say Monday to Sunday when it hit me that was what you stated at the beginning. My apologies!

  • Max

Love seeing all the SCANDAL love in this thread, as well as those admitting REVENGE is pretty damn bad now. I love the smell of changing tides. :)

  • Alex C

LOL at the idiot Grey’s fans that is gloating. At least POI is consistent in its rating. Grey’s drops every other week. It still get destroyed in audience.

  • Danie

CBS never thought Elementary would hit a 2.1 (series low btw)on a THURSDAY with a 2.9 lead in. NEVER!!! And this show was supposed to improve The Mentalist’s ratings. Yeah, Elementary is hit. Only it’s not!

  • Tyler

Glee reminds me a lot of The OC. Though I’m not sure OC was as powerful in the ratings as Glee once was, the buzz history is similar. The difference is Fox is in a much worse state now and Glee hasn’t fallen enough to not get a season 5.

Among Fan Excuse Bingo plays, that’s just pitiful. It’s been off two weeks out of 11. The most recent time was for Thanksgiving (the other time was for a VP debate).

Are you suggesting it should have aired on Thanksgiving? or that CBS should have aired it instead of the debate?

  • Stormy44

I’m going out on a limb and will say that Scandal will either stay the same or increase to a 2.7 next week but my money is on the increase. It will also have another increase the week it comes back from the winter break. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong but I’m playing the numbers.

  • rob60990

Yup POI is consistent, consistently LOSING.

  • Kissan

I have to say it was a good night. TBBT got adjusted down but still won the night by a HUGE margin. I’m happy for Grey’s Anatomy getting 9 million viewers and being first in their timeslot with a 3.0{beat that POI} GA still has its groove after nine seasons. But I have to agree with everybody that the episode last night was pretty bad. TVD went down a lot and I’m not surprised. The last few episodes have been bad and is also taking BATB with it. Why can’t CW just put BATB on Tuesdays at 9 after HOD and put Cult Thursdays at 9? But the real winner of the night was definitely SCANDAL!!!! I mean come on, it was first in their timeslot, it wasn’t adjusted down, it almost beat X Factor, held a lot of retention from GA(that’s a first) and had a series high in the demo and viewership. WOW!!!

P.S. Max you can gloat about Scandal today:) but can you please leave Revenge alone now?

  • Richard Steven Hack

Good to see TVD adjusted up, even if only be .1. That means it still lost .2 from last time, which is not good. However, unless this downward trend continues, it will mean nothing since the show is still a lock for renewal.

  • Mrc8310

What about Arrow i heard ratings is delay from yesterday did they ratings comes out yet are they up or down ratings

  • Lisa

Beauty and the Beast should be moved to the Tuesday slot, and the post-Vampire Diaries slot should go to a different show. It’s being wasted right now.
