I love hearing Democrats/Liberals/Socialists talk about the Fox Viewers “dying off.”
By the time we’re dead, you’re going to be older ones just like you say we are, and the younger generation is going to have a whole different philosophy than you do, and they’ll be thinking that you’ll soon be dead and they’ll institute this whole new Utopian way of thinking than you have. They’re going to look at what you now think of as innovative as old school and be looking for you to “die off.”
jcrevolver: That thinking has been going on since the beginning of man. There’s nothing new there. Every younger generation thinks they have new answers and they think they’re waiting for the older ones to “die off.”
Wouldn’t it be great if the U.S. could just landed planes in all the Middle East States and be able to tell the peaceful people from the radicals. If we could tell who was who we could take the peaceful people to a safe country and let the radicals and terrorist kill each other.
TZCA:
Oh, thank you for telling me that. I’m going to have to do some more research on this.
One of things I like about Texas is that they have their own electric grid. The country is divided into three electric grids: The east, the west and Texas. I liked that independence of Texas being on its own grid.
I knew that Austin was blue, but that’s all. I didn’t think the rest of Texas was that blue. I’ll being done more research now. After the New Year I’m flying to both Texas and Tennessee to scope out. That’s when I’ll be doing the demographic scoping.
I’m really disappointed that Texas will turn blue, though.
WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned. The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.
Authorities in Hudson County notified ICE agents in early October that they suspected Sanchez was an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender and who may be eligible to be deported. ICE agents in New Jersey notified superiors at the Homeland Security Department because they considered it a potentially high profile arrest, and DHS instructed them not to arrest Sanchez until after the November election
SHOCK: Democratic senator employed illegal immigrant who was registered sex offender…
@BevAG
There’s no guaranty to Texas turning Blue, just trending indicators. The blue would be around Austin, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, the southern border, and possibly Dallas/Fort Worth; the population centers.
@jcrevolver who wins in 2014 is all going to depend on these things.
1) The state of the economy.
2) How is the affordable health care plan working. (Obamacare)
3) Has terrorism returned to the U.S.
4) What’s happening in the middle east
5) Can the democrats once again blame all the countries ills on the Republicans again.
Approval polls of congress aren’t a factor. There are 535 members of congress. Rating them as a group tells us nothing. They were at an all time low before the last election and most members kept their seat. Congresses approval has only been about 50% two times. It was 57% in ’98 and 87% in 2002. And guess what? At both times congress, the senate and the house was controlled by Republicans.
The same can be said for 2016. If the economy is in the same or a worse state then it is today. I can’t see a democrat winning. I don’t think American will continue to believe it’s Bush’s fault or that it’s congress’s fault.

Where you see the blue now, more blue is possible.
It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
BevAg–love your spirit and you share the same conservative values that many Texas share. Sadly many liberals are moving to Texas because they have destroyed their states. They are bringing the same liberal ideology with them and will eventually destroy Texas if they ever outnumber us. We need more people like you here. The Piney woods are wonderful–not too far from me. Come on down y’all
BevAg, Houston, South Texas, Dallas and especially Austin, San Antonio are very blue. The rural areas are very red. East Texas is very Red with friendly, self reliant people. Real estate is very reasonable in East Texas.and They get more rain than most of the state–good acid soils that grow lots of beautiful plants. Now, I can’t say that it is prettier than CA–it isn’t but we haven’t gone as far off the tracks as CA. If enough good conservatives move here, we have a fighting chance. I know lots of hispanics who are conservative but they vote on one issue—immigration. If that is ever settled I don’t think they will be so prone to vote for dems. Most are talented and hard working people.

It’s good to see you poking around again, Letmethink.
Wow. Things sure got political today….
I will offer something factual, without prejudice, Texas will not be any redder than it is today and it will less Redder everyday for the foreseeable future.
This is a media site, the one thing we should argue is demographic Facts, Texas cannot, will not, is not going to get more Conservative than today.

thank you for the songs letme think. here’s one more for you. and dd this is for you to.
Texas will not go blue if the Republican party listens to Bush (43). We need to show sympathy to the Hispanic people. Crime is horrible in Mexico. These people are not coming over the border to get on our federal programs. We can’t save them all and we do need to close our borders but we have to come up with a way to make things fair. Maybe something like if you are illegal but have legal family in the U.S. your family has to sponsor and support you and you have to wait in line to become a U.S. citizen. If you are illegal and have no family members that our citizens, you can get a friend to sponsor and support you. If you can’t find a sponsor back to Mexico you go.
There is a line of Mexican people wanting to come to the United States. My sons’ housemate is one of those Mexicans. Their 24 year old housemate is on a research fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is trying to find drugs to prevent and cure different heart diseases. He is here on a one year Visa because that is all he can get. This young man would be a great asset to our country but because of the number of illegals in this country our government is letting a small number of Mexicans into our country.
