    H50 obviously will get renewed but you know CBS is disappointed, wasn’t the pilot super expensive and CBS promoted the hell out of it, they were expecting another NCIS, not to perform just like YET another mediocre procedural.

  • BigFlop

    sorry, but Mike is right, H50 ratings were bad last night. There is no reason to cancel h50, but with no competition their numbers were really low.

  • MikeS

    2 Broke Girls huh? Never seen the show. Is it about hookers?

  • Ali

    Gossip Girl got the bump because next week is the series finale, that’s all.

  • Kangarookeeper

    @Lewis The reason why The Voice has more viewers but a lower demo is because the old people watching Dancing With the Stars are now watching The Voice.

  • Kangarookeeper

    The Voice did great with only a one hour episode.

  • DenverDean

    No competition for H50? I believe MNF is BIG competition for H50. CBS made a critical error in not moving it to Tuesday 10/9. It’s opportunity for getting male viewers is completely diminished during first half of season. Still think CBS would do better by switch Vegas to Sunday, TM to Monday and H50 to Tuesday. GUARANTEED net effect will be higher for network.

  • bluejays

    Those numbers for HFO are solid. They are as high as any ten pm show can hope for these days it if ain’t called The Walking Dead or Revolution.

    Also the ‘no competition’ argument is nul and void as the other CBS shows at ten have very little competition – every damned week! I mean Elementary only ever has to go up against a weak ABC show and Rock Center – every. Single. Week. And it pulled a 2.1 last week with that pathetic competition.

    HFO is pretty much up there with CSI right now as the best two ten pm shows CBS have got.

  • bluejays

    @HotLatino – YOu hated on HFO all last year when it was the number one ten pm show so forgive us if we don’t take your hating posts seriously now!

    The pilot was expensive yes. But the regular eps actually cost way less than many of CBS procedural and comedy offerings.

    If CBS want it to be a huge hit, then clearly they have to move it to an eight or nine slot, as no ten pm network show is a big hit these days.

    If you look at the numbers for the rest of CBS ten offering and also ABC’s you’ll see that HFO is doing fine. Or…you can just keep on hating and ignoring the numbers of the rest of the ten pm slot and pretending they’re all pulling high two’s and three’s if it makes you happy.

    I think Hawaii 5.0 should move to Tuesday at 10pm after NCIS LA and maybe premiere the new NCIS spinoff on Monday’s at 10pm. I think Hawaii would blend well with NCIS audience. It kind of doesn’t fit its lead-in with Mike and Molly. Kudos to 2 Broke Girls good numbers, it should have gotten the Superbowl post to anchor this Monday really well. How I Met Your Mother I hope they renew it for a ninth and final season. I want it to go out really well. Its been a solid performer for CBS for years. I hope CBS does a good job promoting the show.

    NBC’s the Voice is going to do well for an hour episode. I will be curious how next week’s finale numbers will be. I hope they are higher then season 1 and Season 2′s finale numbers. I hope it clears 15 million or more.

    @bluejays

    Pilots are also more expensive because you also have to factor in the cost building all the sets, and things like that into the shows budget. It evens itself out over time. Pilot costs means nothing in reality in all honesty.

    @Mike

    Your attempt at sarcasm was absolutely shocking. It would mean more to me if you had a clue what you were talking about. A 2.5 for a CBS show is quite good, let’s ignore the fact it’s utterly flawed to compare 2 comedy shows to it as they attract a completely different type of audience.

    Try harder.

  • K

    H50 still a lousy show.

  • bluejays

    @THeEnd. I love seeing people saying that HFO is a failure at a 2.5 and the exact same posters will be praising CSI in a day or so for those numbers. Or they state that HFO drops a lot and then big up POI which also drops about the same amount every week. They’re just haters and its always the same few names that have been doing the hating for three years. Must be sad to have that much hate for a tv show!

    On another point, why are ABC even bothering with that Extreme Makeover crap. A repeat of a ten pm show practically equled it in demo and beat it in viewers!

  • Remo

    Mike is probably jealous that POI dropped .3 last week due to inflated football numbers, while H50 only dropped .2

    And POI pretty much “blows” their huge lead in too, dropping over a point each week from the huge lead in that is BBT. AND its a 9PM show, how awful would it perform at 10PM?

    But H50 is the big flop while POI is just THE BEST EVER. Snerk.

    I just don’t understand the whole hate on shows if you dont watch…Its not like Danno pee’s in your cornflakes.

  • John A

    Im happy that GG rose this week. I dont watch it but every show deserves a boost close to its end.

  • Overdamoon

    @Deo
    For me, a 2.5 and less than 10M viewers with no competition is not impressive at all

    What do you mean no competition for H50? H50 is a male-skewing show and has to face football every single Monday. In addition to the CBS preemption in Houston, you got this from ESPN: “Texans-Patriots Delivers 10.4 rating and 14,483,000 Million Viewers” http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/12/11/espn-and-monday-night-football-win-the-night-3/161350/

  • The End

    @bluejays

    At the end of the day haters don’t cancel tv shows, no matter how many people are spewing vitriol or irrational hatred for a show they either haven’t watched, or have decided they dislike, as long as said show performs, it will always be renewed.

    People can waste hours of their life trawling the internet hating on the latest big show, or that little show just getting by, but their actions mean absolutely nothing and that is the fortunate reality of things.

  • Overdamoon

    @HotLatino4GayMarriage
    H50 obviously will get renewed but you know CBS is disappointed, wasn’t the pilot super expensive and CBS promoted the hell out of it, they were expecting another NCIS, not to perform just like YET another mediocre procedural.

    Face it! If CBS had expected H50 to be another NCIS, they would’ve put it on Tuesdays. Or move NCIS:LA to Mondays since it had already developed its core fanbase.

    Everyone and their mothers know remakes/reboots have had the damnest time to survice and succeed. So far, only this H50 reboot and to a certain extent, Dallas_TNT are holding up. I watch Dallas reboot and love it but it has its own problems. So get real! I don’t think CBS expects H50 to perform as well as NCIS.

    Only the H50 pilot was expensive due to the extensive special effects and stunt scenes. Most of the H50 episodes don’t have explosion scenes. And the H50 cast’s salaries are on the low scale compared to other cast. The lead cast in Blue Blood, POI, and even Vegas make more.

  • Bitter Ringer Fan

    OMG next week is GG series finale! what about a poll !! Do you think GG will surprise in the ratings for its final episode?

  • Castillions

    I’m laughing my a** off at abc. a castle rerun had more episode of extreme makeover. this show doesn’t deserve to be canceled. it deserves to disappear into oblivion
