   Its all about quality!! Even with its flaws, dexter and homeland are among the best quality shows on tv right now…People are slowly but continously walking away from broadcast drama to cable drama. TWD and SOA are both winning in their timeslot against any broadcast shows, and yesterday’s numbers for Dexter and Homeland are beyond superb for a premium cable network! Go Cable!

   Cable does better because cable has better promotion. For instance TWD. AMC did the whole weekend marathon to get new & old fans prepared & came back w/ 10mill viewers. Even when BET brought The Game the played re-runs of The Game for like 6months straight & it debut to 7.7mill. Cable has the time & space to re-run shows to get new & old fans.

   Broadcast can’t do marathons for weeks straight b/c the don’t have the time or programming space so they have to relay on Advertising & hoping ppl watch.

   Sigh, at How to Rock ratings. That’s what happens when the network cancels it, stops making promo’s for it, and puts it in the death slot.

   @Nick I really don’t see how Nick was the problem. Nickelodeon gave it chance after chance ( new episode after KCA’s scored 4.4 million viewers, and numbers dropped the next episode ). The show is just not that good.

   Oh, and I still find it funny how everyone is saying “Oh Nick’s ratings have dropped because Victorious or HTR did bad,” but there ignoring the fact that for the past few months Nick’s ratings have improved. SpongeBob has once again spiked to getting 4 million viewers a week, FOP ( Despite the year-long hiatus) is still scoring huge, TMNT is making a solid 3.5 a week, and iCarly went out on top. Open your eyes.

   @ToF,

   Gotta agree. BTR actually steadied out alongside iCarly and didn’t finish too bad. Victorious is up and down, one week its over 3.5 and the next. What’s really hurt that show is Nick’s push of Marvin Marvin despite Victorious being in the primetime slot. And yes iCarly did finish out on top.

   SBSP rerun ratings are ridiculous though.

    Nickelodeon never gave How to Rock a chance. The ratings for the episode after the KCAs were misleading.

    Here are all the how to rock ratings.

    Then there was a hiatus from May 5th to June 30th.

    2.8 (June 30th Episode)

    Shortly after David the show runner DM’d me on twitter to tell me of the HtR cancellation a few weeks before he made it public. He let me know in like the 3rd week of July of the cancellation.

    Another hiatus from June 30th to August 18th. August 18th was the Cee Lo episode. How to Rock was cancelled in mid July. David didnt want to make it public to the masses till after Cee-Lo

    2.1 (August 18th Episode, HTR Cee Lo)

    Another hiatus still September 22nd.

    2.0 (September 22nd)
    1.9 (September 29th)
    2.0 (October 13th)
    2.1 (October 20th)
    1.7 (October 27th)
    1.9 (November 3rd)
    1.8 (November 10th)
    1.7 (December 1st)
    1.6 (December 8th)

    So the last episode where there was even a chance for another season..How to Rock A Love Song..did 2.8. That was after a long hiatus. Then Nick decides to cancel a few weeks later…about 3 weeks before the Cee Lo episode that did 2.1.

    So the episode prior to the cancellation did 2.8. Which mind you Marvin, Marvin still hasnt done.
