I can’t begin to list the number of times I’ve seen Mark2 make that remark. Several weeks ago, I was in a discussion with Mark2 over Statistics (variance and deviation) as compared to simple arithmetic.
And interestingly, I’ve heard Chris Matthews use that line (real math compared to republican math) a couple of times since the election.

Yes, I sure do, I think they are decimated in the areas that we sent troops to. In Afghanistan and Iraq (even though the only reason terrorists are in Iraq is because of us). Obama has even gone out of his way to drone attack the Al Qaeda leaders near and in Pakistan killing their leaders there too. How many of their leaders have we killed now under Bush and Obama….? Oh I forgot one big attack on us in another country means that they aren’t. Are they still alive and kicking? Yes, of course they are. Are they decimated and on the path of being defeated? Yup, if Obama continues down the road of what he’s doing (killing their leaders with drone attacks) they will be defeated, of course there will still be rogue Al Qaeda people out there that will do things under the Al Qaeda flag even if they aren’t actually part of the group, in the countries that we attack them in. Africa and other places, no, because we have no real presence there and aren’t attacking them on those fronts.
