UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – December 12, 2012 – mun2 had its best audience delivery year ever, reporting record-breaking, year-over-year prime time deliveries with +22% in total viewers, +24% among adults 18-49 and +20% among adults 18-34, according to Nielsen. The network delivered an average of 94,000 total viewers, 56,000 adults 18-49 and 36,000 adults 18-34. mun2 came in as the fastest growing network among Hispanic entertainment cable networks in prime time, You’re on Weekends and Sunday nights, outpacing Galavision and Discovery en Español. mun2 is part of NBCUniversal, which has the Most Watched Cable Entertainment networks. Leading mun2’s deliveries are its original Hispanic celebrity reality series Larrymania, soccer games in Futbol Estelar, reality series I Love Jenni, telenovela Reina del Sur, reality series Fugitivos de la Ley, reality series Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis ‘n Control, the CONCACAF Soccer tournament and special Jenni Rivera Presents: La Boda de mi Hija all achieving #1 positions in their time periods during the year.
On Sunday nights the network had year-over-year increases of +34% (83,000) with total viewers, +32% (49,000) adults 18-49 and +23% (32,000) adults 18-34. During this period, mun2 was the only Hispanic entertainment cable network to have double digit growth across all key demographics. The networks “You’re On Weekend” block (Saturday-Sunday, 12p.m.-7p.m. EST) had its best deliveries ever with year over year growth with adults, +16% (64,000) with total persons and +9% (35,000) adults 18-49.
mun2.tv (http://mun2.tv) – the network’s award-winning digital property known for original digital content – grew its year over year video streams on its mun2.tv player by +75% (7 million) and increased its video streams on its mun2 YouTube channel by +185% (20 million).
