ouch Vegas, please Unforgettable, come back!

Mindy’s rating just increased because The New Normal was not on the air. So, Fox will axe Mindy.

    @ Networkman

“CBS should be ashame of the results of Vegas. It is true that numbers have fallen across the board this year for the 10pm hour. But for CBS, I would think numbers below 2.0 demo would be unacceptable if it is not on Friday. Parenthood constantly wins the hour even though it has a weeker leadin. The network should know that they are able to do better and Golden Boy should be given a chance to succeed by taking Vegas spot. CBS could keep Vegas but move it to another night. CBS decision making has been questionable this season. I still don’t understand why CSI:NY did not receive a full season pickup.”

CBS may have announced that it is premiering Golden Boy on Tuesday and moving it to Friday, but trust me, if the show performs better than Vegas in its two-week premiere, there is no way that they’re moving it to Friday. Golden Boy would then stay on Tuesday, and Vegas would move to Friday to air the remainder of its episodes. The net is hedging its bets with this scheduling.

As for CSI NY, fans need to face the fact that this is its last season and just enjoy the final episodes. It has escaped cancellation twice, and the numbers that its posting so far this year do not justify its getting a third reprieve.

I do not feel sorry for abc. They cancelled V, treated the show like crap season 2. They made the audience wait 8 months for the return. V never had a lead in second season average 1.9 +7 2.4 had 7 million viewers, yes it was pretty cheesy, great popcorn entertainment. People complain about lead in on this site all the time. I wonder if they regret canceling V after such hit shows as 666/Last Resort/HE/Body of poop and lets not forget the juggernaut
Nashville. V had a loyal fan base. These shows do not. They are lucky because QUAT and Revenge saved what little is left on abc. However I quit watching QUAT this season and started watching Revolution on NBC. They both are excellent shows to just escape. QUAT feels like I am watching a dumbed down version of the Wonderful World of Disney. ABC better start caring a little more for Revenge and get Nolan and EM/Amanda back to some revenging. The James Bond guy is taking away from the original chemistry. I guess John May doesn’t Live!

    Bill Gorman,

I’m a bit worried about New Girl now! It used to get 2.5 and higher each week.

Now it’s been getting just a 2.0 in the recent two weeks!

Will New Girl still be renewed for a season 3?

  • JoeRobby

I’m pretty sure Morena Baccarin doesn’t regret the cancellation of V. ;-)

  • Davis

My guess is Mindy will get renewed, but it won’t get the post new girl timeslot!!!

  • Brian

2.2 of the lovable demographic and 7.2 million viewers. Does Take It All come back in the spring? Or is it the next Who’s Still Standing/Identity?

  • The Rookie

OMG, if this is Tuesday I am worried for Criminal Minds today. I think it might get a series low <=2.7.

  • Dan

Good job Hart of Dixie. Season 3 here we come!!!

  • Dan S

Regrettably Vegas is just not a good fit on network TV. It should be retooled & moved to Showtime & maybe rename it Ralph Lamb. Then they can beef up the adult content & it’d probably be a winner by their standards. It could be the answer to Starz moderately successful gangster drama Magic City also set in the 60’s.

  • Kate

Brian TV ratings will be down due to the Sandy Concert that’s airing at this time.

@julia, New Girl is certain to be renewed!

  • Bitter Ringer Fan

It’s funny how even a Ben and Kate rerun had better ratings than Flop of Dixie’s mid season finale.

  • ToXiX

    @Bitter Ringer Fan
Even funnier how its one point away from being tied with Nikita

  • Dan

@Jared – Both Ben & Kate and Apartment 23 have 19 episodes for this season, all will air and by March both series will be forgotten.

  • Dan

Tuesday ratings suck. I can’t believe only one show cracked a 3.0+ rating.

  • Glue

This might seem stupid, but i think ABC should be happy with ‘Apartment 23′ The lead in is supposed to be ‘BIG’ But HE has bad ratings and Apt. 23 has been getting .2 Less than it. Which is what I find unfair, It would do better in the Post MF Slot. They should have aired all episodes last year and Had another 22 Episodes this season. Its a FANTASTIC Comedy, deserves a chance.

  • LHR

I’m pissed about happy endings. I hope if abc keeps letting it die tbs will pick it back up for season 4, its hilarious. Also bummed new girl isn’t doing better. I thought without go on this week it would have been higher. Just comes to show that fox shouldn’t have moved it from last years time slot. Hopefully they’ll fix that next season.

  • CenterGravity

I guess I just don’t see why some people seem to get enjoyment seeing TV shows, that millions of people watch and apparently enjoy, fail.
