OWN has picked up two original scripted series, The Haves and the Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor. Both shows will be written and directed by Tyler Perry. Two months ago the channel signed a production deal with Perry to create scripted programming for the channel. The Haves and the Have Nots is a drama about two families, one rich and one poor, while Love Thy Neighbor is a comedy about a diner filled with quirky characters.
Will the “10/90″ plan be used?

Maybe for Love Thy Neighbor, but it would be too expensive for The Haves and the Have Nots because it’ll be a drama which would be more expensive to produce.
