Last week Fringe garnered a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. Tonight, its only non-repeat competition comes from NBC's game show Take It All, which earned a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating last night. So how will Fringe fare tonight? Make your predictions.

im going 0.8 the hobbit is out and people will that are home will watch news of the tragedy in ct.

  • peter

We dont really care about fringe ratings this year :P

  • scifi

    Does it really matter?..

  • Jane

Going to be terrible. I expect most people to be more interested in watching news about the latest monster to shoot up a school.

  • John A

0.9 steady really i would like a 1.2 but that wont happen.

  • Wright

    > 1.1 I’m a positive thinker.

“Fringe”‘s ratings will be badly hurt tonight (December 14th) by the “Hobbit” opening in movie theatres. Additionally, it will be hurt by special programs on the Connecticut school massacre on ABC, CBS, and NBC (I expect that they will each probably devote at least two hours of prime-time coverage).

Fan Excuse Bingo has already started

  • Tristan

    0.9

Steady. Lack on competition doesn’t mean anything. No new viewers until the finale (which will bring back some of the folks who dropped it along the way).

  • B plus

It will hit another series low due to the Hobbit but more importantly, the 20/20 special of the tragedy.

  • The End

    @Jane

I heard about that first on twitter, then of course I found the nearest TV and watched. Horrible news, so tragic. Those poor children.

  • Tessa

It matters because this site has a hardon for Fringe. Check out their default search term in the search box. We’ll probably see posthumous articles weeks after the show ends.

  • John A

I dont think the connectict tragedy will affect Fringe. Its not like a news special will get great ratings anyway.

You're right. The quicker Fringe is off screens, the quicker this site can stop trawling its 14 fans.

And of course, the friggin’ blockquote got messed up.

    Poll suggestion:

Which low-rated show will TVBTN commenters obsess about once Fringe ends its run?

  • CenterGravity

It gets a 2.9 in the alternate universe.

  • Nick

    Last Man Standing: 1.5
Malibu Country: 1.4 [ties series low]
    Shark Tank (R): 1.6
    20/20: 1.5

    Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: 2.3
    Yes, Virginia: 1.5
    Elf on A Shelf: 0.9
    Blue Bloods (R): 1.0

    Prancer Returns (movie): 0.4

    Kitchen Nightmares: 1.3 [season high]
    Fringe: 0.9

    Blake Shelton’s Not-So-Family Christmas (R): 1.1
Take It All: 1.1 [ties series low]
    Dateline NBC: 1.4

    Fringe will be steady.
Note: These predictions are made with the assumption that nothing will be preempted except the 20/20 and Dateline episodes that were set to air. In reality, anything, with the exception of the ABC comedies, will probably be preempted in at least some markets. I can easily see ABC doing a 2-hr 20/20 and NBC doing an extra Dateline special at 8, and other repeats being preempted locally.

    @EatMorePez

    Obviously, Nikita.

  • Nick

CBS and ABC will both do news coverage at 10 pm, but not at 9.
