The Steve Perry logic applies this week. Cable TV is dying.
Broadcasts lowest show in the top 25, X-Factor – 7687.
Cable’s top (non sporting) show in the top 25, Gold Rush – 4613.
CNN wins the weekend ratings.
I’m on fire with my predictions.
Ratboy – Hey Billhilly, this one is fer yooo!

That’s why we have very few teeth.
“The Romans had The Colosseum with gladiators killing each other.with all the blood and guts. They did not have a breakdown like we are today.so I don’t believe that you can video games.”
______________
I don’t blame video games, or television and movies, at least not in isolation. Violent video games are popular in South Korea and Japan, and a lot of our violent blockbuster movies are big international moneymakers.
I think it’s far more significant that we’ve made a transition, from FDR-onwards, from being an isolationist to an interventionist culture. No longer are we a nation that only reacts to imminent threats, we find it ethical to use our military to shape foreign culture. On some level, this glorifies the idea of war and killing for purposes beyond simple self-defense, and leads to unnecessary interferences, like Libya.
I keep going back, in my head, to that speech where Obama said (regarding Iran) that ‘all options are on the table,’ which prompted a round of applause. On one level, I understand the comfort some people take in the idea that, if necessary, we won’t back down. On another level, that seems really morbid and creepy; here we are, talking about the prospect of yet another war, a moment that should be somber and unsettling, and it’s a freaking applause break. That’s…weird, right? It’s weird to applaud the prospect of war, right? Am I alone here?
AppleStinx – Performing the ‘Hind Lick Maneuver’ in public places… tsk, tsk. Hillbilly should be ashamed of himself.

You should see what i do in private.
I’m loving what the democrats are doing now. I wonder if the dems think the American people are to busy with Sandy Hook to see what they are doing.
Polls show that Americans want a compromise and the GOP has compromised but it’s not good enough.
So, who is holding the middle class tax cuts hostage, Mr. President? Doesn’t appear to be the GOP….
@hillbilly
i’m predicting 2 shows.

I wouldn’t want to go blind… but I’ve heard that you still remember how to do ‘Amazing Grace’ with your bag pipe.
Which makes it difficult to understand why you go
