New comedy 1600 Penn is debuting tonight after The Voice before moving to its normal Thursday timeslot in January. Will this new comedy fare as well as Take it All did last week in the post-Voice slot, or will the politically-themed sitcom turn viewers off? Make your predictions for this new show below, and defend your choice in the comments!

Its premiere rating will be in the neighborhood of 2.7 and the low 2s or high 1s in its regular time. It does need more Chemistry between the characters and it does have promise to be funny.
I watched this. It was actually had funny moments. I am hoping that it gets solid ratings.
In the metered market ratings, 1600 Penn had a 4.5 out of The Voice’s 8.4
I watched it to see what it was all about. Jeez!! I give it 2 more episodes before it gets yanked.
@Leondre
Go On’s in the low 4s every week (HH ratings) and that shakes out to ~2.4. I’m guessing 1600 Penn will range somewhere from 2.6-2.8 assuming a similar skew.
It might not be a bad idea to repeat the pilot as much as possible before it takes its regular slot, too. If it’s on Thursdays it’s going to need all the help it can get.
hated it! The son was annoying. Maybe if they gor rid of him it might have a chance.
i will say a 2.5 after The Voice at 4.0
doesn’t hold a candle to political animals. should have gotten a funny son instead of try to hard. They can save it a little if they make the son a second focus instead of main focus.
@senor chang
They are only repeating it twice: once at 8:30 on Thursday on the same night as its timeslot premiere, and they’re repeating the first two episodes on Friday in the 8pm slot.
