After negotiations reportedly broke down, it looks like Prospect Park's original plan to bring One Life to Live and All My Children online in 2013 has been revived, according to Deadline. Production is rumored to begin early next year, and discussions with possible cast members are ongoing.

So how long till they are cancelled again?

  • the_troubke_with_the_truth

I hope to much time hasn’t passed. I’ll be excited to see Vicki on a daily basis again!

  • Jenny

Will it actually happen this time?

  • JulieDawn

Will anyone still care by the time they are actually up and running?

As someone on Twitter said in response to this, fool me once…

This sounds like something that should have a heavy dose of snark inserted into the article.

  • MBmomof3

WOW! It’s a Festivus Miracle! I hope it works out. I still miss my OLTL.

  • SJ

    Oh just give up already!

Prospect Park originally blamed the unions for their failure to put things together, but my guess at the time was that the deal didn’t work because they didn’t find a cable network willing to pony up syndication money.

Unless they *have* found a cable network now, I can’t see how a different deal with the unions makes the difference between go and no go.

They will last for a while I think. They have money and OLTL people and PP really seem like they are interested in keeping it going so WOOT! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE OLTL AGAIN

If this happens, a big YAY. Both of those shows ran for 40+ years; granted, all good things end, but they should, at the least, have proper finales. If this is a go, they can build story and then finish things off, that would be great.

  • Rich

Good luck getting the OLTL cast members who moved on to GH out of those contracts,as well as those who may have moved to other soaps or long term projects.(i.e. Susan Lucci, who’s got a primetime series coming soon.)

@Bill Gorman has it right. Without some sort of cable deal, it’s not going to make economic sense. Online only doesn’t fit with the demos. I wish them luck. It would be great to bring these shows back to “life.” Fingers crossed it works out for the fans and the genre.

    Buh, what?

  • Port Chuck

Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus!

Has anybody heard anything if it looks like Days will be picked up next year ? I am keeping my fingers cross.

Bill I love to hear your predictions !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • J.G.

With Soapnet’s demise indefinitely delayed, I wonder if they’ll be the cable home for the shows. I’ll believe this news when I see it though.

  • Rob R

I didnt watch those two shows but have always been sympathetic to the fans who loved them. This news should have been kept quiet until they knew for certain this was a “go.” All the sets have been struck……to start up again would be Herculean. It is too cruel to get fans’ hopes up again.

I hope this works out! i love amc! i think that they could get a good chunk of the amc actors on there because they all haven’t really done a lot since amc went off the air. the only down side for amc is susan lucci wont sign on because of devious maids. as for oltl their problems are 5 favourite characters are now on gh as well as their executive producer and writing team. i wish both shows the best of luck. hopefully Ron Carlivati and Frank Valentini will run 3 shows amc, oltl and gh! then we will really get actors on every show:)

  • Joseph

I’ll believe it when I see it!

  • Chrisann D

Wow! I don’t want to get my hopes up but if they can pull this off it will be epic for the fans and cast members. Keeping fingers crossed!
