We're into the holiday season for the Renew / Cancel Index and this post before the holiday break gives readers a chance to pick which shows they'd cancel were they a network programmer. You can vote as many times as you'd like, pick as many as you'd like. I've included every show, even canceled ones, so that no one feels left out!
Scheduling note: The Renew / Cancel Index will return with new Indexes and predictions on January 8, 2013 and will then only use the ratings since December 31, 2012 for its calculations for the remainder of the season. Expect prediction changes in the first weeks of 2013.

- more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2012 -
- toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2012 -

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

Cancell #90201, its obviously isn’t getting any better.. and Heart of Dixie is on its 2nd season, so whoever isn’t watching already, wont start.
Beauty and the Beast is a Freshman with Barely any promotion, and has the worst timeslot being after Vampire diaries… so i’d say it deserves the Renewel.
Also, i think that theres alot of bitter Secret Circle fans that are voting 4 BATB wt vengence.. so sad. drop the hate already.
At this point, I don’t think 90210 deserves a final season (and I honestly don’t hear that many people clamoring for one). Beauty and the Beast is The Secret Circle 2.0, and the ratings are already below where TSC was at this time last year. Once they crater in the spring, it will be gone.
As for Nikita, I’m having a hard time seeing how on earth they expect to find a way to keep the show viable for another and then sell it to someone for pennies on the dollar. But if they can make it work, why the heck not?
Cancel Beauty and the Beast. This is an insult to the original TV show and fairy tale.
Everything except Arrow. Everything.
Something is wrong. People are accidentally clicking in the wrong spot and voting for BATB to be cancelled.
Beauty and the Beast is dead, and it airs after the vampire diaries,Beauty and the Beast is really pathetic!!!!
Move 90210 and Nikita to summer to end their seasons. Move BATB to Friday and keep the reat. Problem solved.
^rest
Cancel: Beauty & The Beast
Renew: 90210 (final season), Nikita (final season)
Too soon to decide: Hart of Dixie
Here’s what I think will happen:Nikita renewed(they should’ve cancelled it last season)
90210: renewed for final season
HoD: renewed
Arrow: renewed
SPN: renewed
VD:renewed
Beauty&Beast:cancelled (I really like it but ratings aren’t good)
Cult:Cancelled
Carrie Diaries:Cancelled(though I want it do well)
Well Gossip Girl is done and Emily MD has been canned, so I think they should give the last 7 shows another season. I know VD and Supernatural is not going anywhere, but they need 1 more season of Nikita and 90210 to wrap up all the story lines…
I love Beauty And The Beast!!! It’s my new favorite show after The Vampire Diaries! I don’t want it to be cancelled! I will be heartbroken! It’s the best!!! I think everyone should see it!! I LOVE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST & IT DESERVES SEASON 2!!!
And to all the haters here,
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL?! Beauty And The Beast is best!! Why can’t you just give it a chance! I understand Secret Circle didn’t do too well. But that doesn’t mean Beauty And The Beast took their time slot after The Vampire Diaries. All the fans ( including myself!) of Beauty And The Beast are true & loyal fans of the show & we will fight it to keep it on & pray for the second season!!
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST WILL BE RENEWED!!!!!
So please leave it alone!
i like batb, but it’s a goner…cw should just cut 90210 this year, but i think it will be given a final short season…i don’t think the carrie diaries is going to do any better than emily owens either…
With EOMD & GG gone, I’d add BATB to the list.
BATB has been given a prime slot and just hasn’t performed well enough so I’d cut it.
I would want to cut 90210 but giving it a 10-13 ep final season would mean one less new show to promote in the fall so I’d probably right now keep it around for that. Nikita I’d reluctantly keep for possible syndication money.
The rest are doing well to keep – HoD is marginal but for now it’s good enough and I’d renew the show.
Keep TVD & BATB!!
Cancel all the reality shows.
Beauty and the Beast-it’s a goner, ratings are soo bad!!
The shows I watch on CW are Beauty & the Beast, Nikita and Arrow. Don’t care what they do with the rest.
The only shows left would be The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Supernatural, and Nikita.
Diana
The ratings have not been good now if some how they have a major increase in ratings then maybe it gets a 2nd season.
