We're into the holiday season for the Renew / Cancel Index and this post before the holiday break gives readers a chance to pick which shows they'd cancel were they a network programmer. You can vote as many times as you'd like, pick as many as you'd like. I've included every show, even canceled ones, so that no one feels left out!
Scheduling note: The Renew / Cancel Index will return with new Indexes and predictions on January 8, 2013 and will then only use the ratings since December 31, 2012 for its calculations for the remainder of the season. Expect prediction changes in the first weeks of 2013.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

The only thing I care about is HoD. Nice change from the endless vampire / fantasy / fairytale shows. Aren’t people bored of this stuff yet?
The rest, they can all go for all I care. Don’t get the ‘loyalty’ argument for 90210 – it’s had it’s day, and it’s day has passed. Let it go already.
I would pick ALL of the shows and The CW network because everything on it sucks.I mean all they do is take shows that were done BETTER 10-15 years ago and TRY to remake them (B&B & Nikita) and ended up with CRAP.I mean Nikita has good actors and should have been named something else.But they have crappy writing and only care about the stunts and nothing else.90210 have bad everything and B & B is just stupid.At least when TNT remade Dallas,they brought the original actors back to play their characters plus added new characters with new actors with it.And they have great writers.The CW stupidly thought fans of these original shows would be ok with them recasting the original characters with different actors.But they were clearly wrong.While Nikita does have good actors,they are not the same as watching the original tv actors playing the parts.They don’t have the same chemistry together and the writing is not as good.Plus the few interesting s/l they have had are directly taken from the La Femme Nikita show.
Nikita & B&B are mainly failing because of bad writing and lack of ambition.
In the last episode of Nikita !SpoilerAlert! Amanda had Nikita trapped, instead of killing her she decided to let her leave to make her suffer later … eventually … How dumb is that ? How is people supposed to think Amanda is the big evil this season with that ?
During the 3 season the show has become more candy and stupid than a cartoon…
B&B just makes no sense, a few episodes ago Kristin just said to Vincent in an emotional moment she is sad because she can’t live the live she wants to (ie because she loves Vincent and she can’t be with him since the police want to catch him), the thing is, she barely knew him and they barely try to be with each other … The show is just filled why bad love psychology, uninteresting procedural cop-show background and really not so much interesting things …
Crystalball You don’t seem to get it Amanda want to kill the people close to Nikita. There is nothing bad writing about that.
Some commentors like Ally and Diana seem so unreal. Are they teens or do they actually consider a cancellation of a tv show to be a life or death situation?..
Anyhow, considering all reviews I saw of TCD were horrible and Cult got such a great lead-in (sarcasm) I see both cancelled and think 90210 and HoD will get renewed from the bubble shows (with B&tB cancelled of course.)
I get that Amanda isn’t going to kill anyone, she failed to kill Alex on first season, I doubt she will ever kill Mickael since he’s a main character and engaged with Nikita (even if I praying for that to happen since season 1), and the others characters are just simply irrelevant.
Let’s be honest it’s just a poor excuse to not kill your main character.
Crystalball You realize its like that in every movie and in every show right. The main characters usually is never in any harm. So whats the problem here
I think CrystalBall is saying that if the main characters of a show obviously can’t be killed off, then the writers shouldn’t set up a scenario where the bad guys have a perfect opportunity to kill a main character but come up with a weak excuse not to do it. That just makes the bad guys and the show itself look lame.
The problem is the writing.
It’s obvious Nikita won’t get kill, the question here is whether his friend (Alex/Mickael) could get killed and whether it’s a believable threat.
We know it won’t happen unless they grow some balls (Percy should at least have had killed someone relevant).
Many characters don’t matter since the relationship and the psychology between them and Nikita isn’t developed enough.
So instead of getting to situation where there is no suspens at all, they shouldn’t have put their character into this no win situation.

I really don’t see the big deal but Amanda is gonna kill one of or 2 of the main characters maybe not Michael so the thread is not harmless at all there was forshadowing with them showing every character when Nikita told them.
Crystal you must not watch Dexter, Hawaii Five , Castle ect then because the thread on these characters are non existant

BatB is stupid, the writing is very bad, the acting is worse. I watched a few episodes and gave up. there is something hard and irritating in the lead actress.

if that’s the case HOD has no chance,in season 1 it was a toss up season 2 it’s still a toss up
they also canceled life unexpected after 2 seasons

@CH2164 Life Unexpected had only 13 episodes in each episode, HoD 22. Meaning, HoD is closer to syndication than Life Unexpected and they are not comparable.
Keep 90210the for another season:)both and renew dixie. Please cancel arrow and beauty beast!!!
