The Simpson’s were so low simply because it did not air in 60% of the country.
I read on an article on IMDb that the Family Guy episode that was suppose to air on this Sunday will on the next one, anyone know if this is true?

Great night for CBS. Also, football was so high Sunday! 9.0 for CBS’ overrun and 8.7 for NBC’s Sunday Night Football – awesome!
Also, The Simpsons‘ 1.7 Sunday pulled its seasonal average from a 3.1 down to a 2.9!

I bet ABC misses Desperate Housewives with these Sunday ratings, since ABC was trying to get it for a nithn season but the shows producers turned down the offer!

Desperate Housevies averaged a 2.7 last season and had ~20% year-to-year declines in each of its last four seasons.
Revenge, with a 2.6 rating, is performing better in that time slot than Desperate Housewives would have been projected to do.
Scandal, which likely doesn’t get renewed if DH is still on the schedule, is only barely underforming DH’s projected ratings (2.1 vs 2.2) and likely costs significantly less to produced.
I doubt ABC is missing Desperarate Houswevies.
