NCIS LA did very well against The Voice finale.
Private Practice with only a few million viewers. heartbreaking!
I did notice them copying Cougar Town with the whole Gift Whisperer thing but I don’t think this season has been bad! It’s been hilarious as always. IMO Cougar Town season 3 was kinda weak. Hoping season four will be better!
At least soon the real competition will begin…American Idol. I only watch the Voice during auditions. The rest is boring. Anyway, NCIS and NCIS LA are powerhouse shows! They are doing really well for a 10 year show and a five year show. The other networks wished they had these numbers. Of course this site put down that NCIS LA was down and not up because neither NCIS gets any respect.
Good to see NCIS LA adjusted up
I don’t watch talent shows that includes The Voice. I’m puzzled however when someone calls it a flop when it clearly is the opposite. These are numbers networks love to get & can command a greater price for advertising. I would’ve loved a show like the now defunct Harry’s Law getting a sliver of that ratings pie. Unfortunately though well viewed shows like Vegas are headed for the dustbin at the end of the season.
Even though i Don’t watch any NCIS’ i’m happy for it.
Ugh, I wanted Apartment 23 to hit a higher mark. If ONLY IT PREMIERED EARLIER.
The Voice… Meh. I really dislike the show. I don’t know why though. I tried it. It didn’t interest me.
@Ram
That is true. I agree. The songs she had were terrible..although “your body” was only ok. Still not great.
Not to bring up another Britney vs Christina argument but its funny.
x factor isn’t doing great in ratings and the voice is doing decent.
But Britney is still putting out #1 albums…an #1 songs. A 90s pop star can still be on top so what gives Christina.
Was hoping Vegas would be adjusted up. I love the Voice – watch with wife & daughters but also like a nice story like Vegas. Much more natural of a period piece then Mad Men.
Fantastic rating for NCIS: LA! Have anyone ever noticed the odd “birth mark” that the beautiful Daniela Ruah has in her right eyeball?
I’d be curious to see how Vegas did on Fridays at 8:00.
Has anyone
The CBS lineup last night was a good one if you’re into Christmas-themed episodes. Too bad Vegas didn’t benefit from it, though it was a pretty dark episode. Maybe that on top of the 10pm factor was a turn-off. Oh, well. I’ll just enjoy the show while it lasts.
The Muppet Movie did pretty well for a holiday placeholder on the CW. Bet we’ll see that one air next year, too.
Also, Britney isn’t pulling ratings for The X Factor because people don’t care about Britney’s Mentoring skills (Which were only good for Carly) Or her judging (Which is beyond useless.) They care about her songs.
@glue haha this is true. I feel like its pointless having her there. They clearly only had her on to attract viewers which it didn’t.
But I will always be a big Britney fan. An her music is still big an sells big. Which is all that matters for her, she don’t need x factor. Christina however NEEDS the voice.
good for the voice final i think it is his biggest final
@ grant
I beg to differ. It’s thanks to The Voice that NBC won the fall ratings war. This hasn’t happened since over a decade. That makes The Voice a phenomenon.
Ratings have steadily grown and will continue to be better because let’s face it Usher and Shakira are more “relevant” than Xtina and CeeLo and their album sales are reflective of this.
I think the main reason why the show hasn’t helped Xtina’s career as much as it did for the others is because the public didn’t like how she had thrown “shades” at certain candidates (Amanda Brown) and guest performers like Justin Bieber and The Wanted.
Rhianna was being aided by two backup singers. Maybe they were singing when her mouth wasn’t moving. Why bother coming on a live SINGING program and fake it? Is she that bad? I’ve never heard her sing before.
Since I watch neither The Voice or The X Factor, this comment is based on competition not personal preference. If you look at X Factor’s competition tonight it is really light and therefore it may do better than expected.
Renewal is coming soon for the NCIS series
It’ll be an early Renewal like last year and other Shows like CSI. Criminal Minds, HIMYM, 2.5 Men, H50 and Blue Bloods will be Renewed at the same time.
@Raymond. True. But that DOES not make the voice a phenomenon at all. Come on really? I would call it that if it had 25+ million viewers maybe. And was literally everwhere. Which its not.
also that is not why Christina albums sales are bad. Its bad because her music is not good.
Wow, I forgot Cougar Town had that Gift Whisperer theme before – but I did recognize the guy playing Penny’s boyfriend (in two or three episodes now but I only finally recognized him in last night’s) as one of the few young guys Jules dated on CT in season one. I think it was only him and Scott Foley before she wasn’t really a cougar any more.
