TZCA doing your research. Are you?

Research land ownership. Before World War I. In Great Britain. I am a history freak and did not know that the same nobleman that own the land for 1000 years still owned all of it and it was it illegal to sell land in Great Britain. Land could only be inherited by the oldest son. It could not be sold

  • TZCA

lol Doug Z. So, it doesn’t work as smoothly as on the commercials. Still incredible technology. A few years from now, they’ll probably have it down. Then they can have voice recognition in addition to the thumb pad for the gun control…

No. I’m getting too groggy to real research. I did know that Serfs could not own land, but I didn’t know Nobles could not own land. I am fascinated with Templar lore, and one of the perks of being a Templar was free mobility by papal edict. A Serf would need to petition his Noble to travel off the Noble’s land. A Noble would need to petition the king for passage out of the kingdom, etc. I thought a Noble could grant land to the Church, often as pentance or for status. The Templars often received land in this process, such from the Sinclaires of Scotland, part of what made the group so rich so fast. Well, and they charged a usary fee to hold money for travelers (early form of credit cards) as true interest was forbidden by the Church.

  • TZCA

oops, I didn’t know that Nobles couldn’t SELL land.

  • cathy

Wow, Doug Z, I did know you still can’t buy land in Great Britain. I wonder how many other countries are like that.
I watch international house hunters from time to time and I noticed a number of time the Realtor saying. “You aren’t buying the property and a 40 year lease.”

  • cathy

    did not not did

  • TZCA

lol cathy. I just noticed your post saying I forgot about Republicans kicking little puppies. lmao.

  • TZCA

cathy, did Doug Z say that this same system is in effect now in modern times? I missed that.

  • TZCA

I thought Doug Z was talking about the old feudal system.

The MSNBC braindeads are at it again? Don’t you guys remember that this happens from time to time….MSNBC, while getting slaughtered in the overall number sometimes win the key demo….of course this is only sometimes, and whenever it swings back you dont want to even acknowledge the key demo…and then when it swings back agian, you act like it never happened before…but that’s a liberal condition….because liberals are always ignoring the passed….if they were actually paying attention, they’d know 90% of what they say has already proven itself wrong….over and over…

  • Iain

Piers Morgan had another bad day at the office even with his “town hall style” debate he still came in his usual 3rd place. I think Thursday’s audience will be even lower.

  • Iain

Wow also I notice Nancy Grace got beaten by CNBC in the key demo, that is a humiliating for her.

  • Coffee Steve

    Morning anyone

    *******
The high price of impatience: Michelle jets off to Hawaii with the kids for 17 day vacation before the President can leave … at a cost of $100,000 to the taxpayer
    ******

With thousands of families struggling to raise funds for Christmas, you would think the Obamas might manage a little thriftiness.

But last night, Michelle Obama and her two daughters flew to Hawaii for a 17-day holiday – days before the president joins them.

The separate flights will incur costs of more than $100,000 to the taxpayer.

The president’s family covers the cost of a private beach front residence in Kailua, Oahu, for the vacation – a ‘Winter White House’ that costs up to $3,500 a day, or $75,000 a month.

But the local and federal taxpayers help pay the bill for travel and security.

Last year the trip cost more than $1 million, according to the Hawaii Reporter.

The move also puts the president at odds with one of his own executive orders that instructed agencies to avoid unnecessary flights, said the site.

FIRST LADY OF LUXURY TRAVEL: THE COSTLY TRIPS
    SPAIN: AUGUST 2010

Michelle Obama and 40 of her friends paid for personal expenses, such as hotels and meals themselves.

But the U.S. taxpayer would have paid for the 68-strong security detail, personal staff and use of presidential jet Air Force Two. Payment for the secret service team ran at around $281 each – nearly $98,000 for the duration of the summer break.

Use of Air Force Two comes in at $149,900 for the round trip, not including time on the ground.

Mrs Obama’s personal staff, of which there were an unknown number, should also be taken into account.

    HAWAII: DECEMBER 2010

According to the Hawaii Reporter, the bill for the trip included:

$63,000 on an early flight bringing Mrs Obama and the children to Hawaii ahead of the President
$1,000,000 on Mr Obama’s return trip from Washington on Air Force One
$16,000 to rent nearby homes for Secret Service and Navy Seals
$134,000 for 24 White House staff to stay at the Moana Hotel
    $251,000 in police overtime
$10,000 for an ambulance to be on hand at all times

SKI TRIP TO VAIL: FEBRUARY 2011

Michelle Obama and her daughters stayed at the Sebastian hotel on Vail Mountain, where rooms cost more than $2,400 for multi-bedroom suites.
The family appear to have flown there on Air Force Two.
They were escorted to the resort by about a dozen vehicles, including 15 state and local law enforcement officers.

    MARTHA’S VINEYARD: AUGUST 2011

The Blue Heron Farm estate, where the Obama family stayed, rents for about $50,000 a week.
Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama flew to the estate just hours before the president to make the most of the holiday – again, incurring extra flight costs.

According to U.S. News and World Report, the Coast Guard was required to keep ships floating near the property. The presidential helicopter and jet remain at the ready and security agents will be on 24-hour duty.

War on Fox Continues: White House Hints that Fox New’s Benghazi Reporting was ‘Entirely False’

Fox News reported facts that run counter to the propaganda by the White House and it pisses the Obama regime off. We know Team Obama lied, his UN Ambassador spread the lie and they have attempted to cover-up their lies.

Bozo press secretary does the stupid thing again, lie.

Hillary Knew: State Department Official Suggests Libya Warnings Went to Hillary’s Office

Poor Hillary is at home with a “concussion” as Bubba flies all over the US. Must not be that bad. However, State Dept officials are claiming Hillary knew about the lack of security which led to the deaths of US Amb. Stevens and 3 others.

A top State Department official acknowledged Thursday that cables warning of serious security concerns at the U.S. compound in Benghazi went to department headquarters – and possibly to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s office – in the months leading up to the deadly Sept. 11 attack.

Deputy Secretary of State Williams Burns, testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the cables “would have been reviewed up through the assistant secretary level, and it may be that some of my colleagues on the seventh floor saw them as well.” The seventh floor refers to Clinton’s office.

Further, Burns confirmed “there were certainly memos” that came to Clinton’s office describing some of the dozens of security incidents in the region before the attack that claimed four American lives.

    ********
This counters that Bozo press secretary said in the video just posted!
    *********

The confirmation Thursday comes after Fox News first reported in October on one cable addressed to Clinton’s office said the U.S. Mission in Benghazi convened an “emergency meeting” less than a month before the attack because Al Qaeda had training camps in Benghazi and the consulate could not defend against a “coordinated attack.”

Fox News has since learned that Ambassador Chris Stevens sent at least 15 classified cables to the State Department between November 2011 and Sept. 11, 2012, warning that security conditions were unraveling, and there was growing evidence the Libyan brigade charged with protecting the consulate had been infiltrated.

Assault Weapons Free UK’s Violent Crime is 4 Times that of the US.

The left-wing will hate learning these facts. These stats were from 2009 but you get the point that guns are not the only weapons used and the UK doesn’t allow ‘assault weapons” or handguns ownership among it’s peasants.

The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe, as well as America, Canada, Australia and South Africa.

Opposition leaders said the disclosures were a “damning indictment” of the Government’s failure to tackle deep-rooted social problems.

The figures combined crime statistics for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The UK had a greater number of murders in 2007 than any other EU country – 927 – and at a relative rate higher than most western European neighbours, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
