Good morning everyone. Happy Middle of the Milky Way Day! Better half is bummed the world isn’t ending-”We’re still here? Damned Mayans.”
Hmmmm, so the WH and Fox news are mixing it up again? Hot Dog! Break out the popcorn and hard cider (I like Angry Orchard) and let’s sit back and watch the fire works. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
So Hillary couldn’t testify because of a boo boo on her head. Think she would go if the committee promiced her an open bar and munchies?
Good morning!! About an hour to go until the end of the world! I will see you all on the other side. I will be the one with the label button that says “See I told you it wasnt going to be the end of the world!”
snowy here but the main part missed us last night and we just got a dusting. The radar shows we will be out of it around the time the world ends! (at that point it could get REAL HOT for some of us!!!!)
Ratboy.

It is not a sin to be stupid. Are you saying that they are selfish, which might be a sin.
Ratboy.
It is also not a sin to be educated, to the point where you don’t know any better

Mr. Coffee.
The stock market is holding up better than I thought it would. With capital gains about to go up. I thought that there would be a big selloff
In 1975, the total debt as a percentage of the gross domestic product was 40%. Today, the percentage of the debt as a percentage of the gross domestic product is 101%. The chart from 1975 to today pretty much goes up at an equal amount each year. It is a fairly level climbing graph. That puts this debt squarely on the shoulders of everybody that is been in charge of the government since 1975.
With both parties talking about propaganda of balancing the budget. Since then, they are both responsible. The Democrats were in charge. From 1975 to 1994, of both houses. The Republicans were in charge of both houses from 1994 to 2008. The Republicans were in control of the presidency for 24 of the last 32 years.
In the beginning, the tea party only cared about big spending and debt. The tea party needs to stay along those lines and stay away all moral issues. It needs to be a one subject matter party.
Of course the liberals on this website think we should spend more money. They recite Keynesian theory doing nothing about what John Keynesian really said. They turned Keynesian theory into a propagandist theory. John Keynesian wrote that you balance a budget and pay off all your debts during good times and run debts during bad times.
John Keynesian was right. But politicians have forgot about the paying off of the debt, for it does not work with their big-time spending and giving money to their friends to get reelected.
D.C. house inspires 168 bids in red-hot real estate market
By Annys Shin, Published: December 20
It didn’t look like a house anyone would pay $400,000 extra for.
This is an article about the red-hot Washington, DC housing market. One better worry when the hottest housing market in the country is the seat for government. All the red-hot manufacturing seats like Silicon Valley and others, the markets are down. That is a sign that America is not producing
The main driving force, though, has been the region’s ability to weather the recent recession thanks partly to its plethora of government and government-reliant jobs, according to Howard University sociologist Roderick Harrison.
Well I am here, are you trhere??? Looks like we aint going anywhere yet! Too bad! The end of the world might be the only thing that fixes Washington!!!
Let the idiot dems. run everything then they will have to answer to their kids and grandchildren for leaving them a great (haahahah) legacy. Let them spend our tax money on projects and programs that don’t work and run up the debt even more and bankrupt our nation!!! Don’t you have anything better to do? The only thing you care about are the cable news ratings?

This is a website about rating. We are supposed to be talking about ratings. In this particular website. We are posting on is about cable news. What are we supposed to be talking about?this is not the Drudge Report, even though sometimes I think it is
Doug Z,
Sadly, the libs don’t even know it’s a theory. I thought you were joking about them thinking it was as easy as just printing more money. (I know the Obama administrations has been doing that.) I thought the handful of libs/dems progressives, I heard say it on TV were just clueless and not following any belief. But then I did research and ….. The progressives truly believe that our debt is made out. They say, “the only reason we have debt is because congress made up a stupid rule that all the money we spend over the amount we take in has to be back by treasury bonds. When in truth all we need to do is print more money.”
I also find out that the main reason the U.S. debt is not a problem right now and hasn’t been in the past is that most of the U.S. debt is held by the U.S. government. The U.S. is taking in much more Social Security money than they are paying out. They used the additional Social Security money to buy treasury bonds. I’ve always heard the government used SS to run the country but this is the first time I really read the details.
So, we only have until 2026 or 2027, because at that time the U.S. will be giving out more SS money than taking in.
Doug Z
Stop fibbing young man. A red hot housing market in D.C. is a very good thing. 1)It shows wealth growth.
2)It shows the U.S. is producing.
You shouldn’t be concerned that those growing their wealth are politicians and their large campaign contributors. Nor should you worry that the large thing we are producing in the U.S. is BUREAUCRACY.

There is either $27.5 trillion or 29.5 protean dollars in bonds in Social Security. So Social Security is the only program the United States government has ever had that pays for itself. It not only pays for itself. It helps run the government. There is also a law that no matter what happens with the government, a budget shortfall, government closing down, etc., etc. Social Security has to sell these bonds and pay the Social Security recipients. So when government shuts down. And they claim that Social Security recipients will not get their paycheck. That is a lie.
I know everybody has heard Republicans and Democrats alike saying that if government shuts down Social Security recipients will not get their check.
Both parties were lying to us at that time. It is a law and the mechanism is set up to make sure that Social Security recipient can’t always get their check
@Ratboy, Have you seen any of the libs today?

Democrats and Republicans both use moral issues as a smokescreen for the budget problem they have created. It is time to put aside all of these issues and tackle the budget problem only.
That is what that tea party actually stands for, one issue party the budget. Course the Republicans had tried really hard to hijack a tea party and claim they are part of it. There are no Republicans except for maybe two that are really part of the tea party. They are still going to bring other issues as a smoke screen to cut the budget
