THis is why a person needs and assault rifle.
Three armed men invade a home in Sacramento. Homeowner shot, but still manages to shot all three invaders.

Nice to have some of the old gang around & I sing about like Porky only I lack the stutter.

I’m asking this again this year. What is your favorite NON POLITICAL website.
Mine remains the same as the last couple years.
If you aren’t familar with Wolfram Alpha you should take the tour. I use this site several times a week.

Cathy–this is NOT why a homeowner needs an assault rifle. The NRA would probably advocate using a machine gun or bazookas, too. Conventional weapons would be sufficient. Furthermore, are you going to be awake all night waiting for the intruder (s)? The NRA is pushing water uphill again and the American People favor increasing bans on quick fire weapons, fragmenting bullets, and large magazines. The NRA’s solution of putting a guard in a school Or whereever) is absurd and hasn’t worked in the past. The NRA is an anachronism…….whose time has passed.
@Faith3 What? All the Republicans are doing is talking about the lack of cuts in Obama’s plan. I have seen the real Obama plan as it was even to the republicans but according to CNN on Wednesday, “the plan Obama ran on and the plan listed on Obama’s website is not the plan even to the House Speaker. Those plans show a 2 to 1 spending cut over tax increases. Where as the plan that Obama gave to the Speaker had less than a 1 to 1 spending cut to tax increase. Obama’s plan really asks for more spending. And no debt ceiling for two years.”
Merry Christmas to everyone.
Merry Christmas. Ratboy. Have a great time with the rugrats. Enjoyed to the puppy story. Maybe you should teach them to unlock the doors.
If you are everywhere near the Toledo Zoo, you should like into taking your grandchildren on the 26th. It’s very nice.
The right wing House t-bags are holding Boehner and all moderate Repubs hostage (as well as the American People) by refusing to raise tax rates on the wealthy whose rates are currently at 60 year lows and who are NOT creating jobs. As economists have repeatedly said, raising rates slightly for the super rich would have NO effect on job creation. But the right wing is in bed with NorQuist. Can you imagine the GREED of some of the super rich who can’t get by on around $10 million a year but need a further tax cut of $200K??? That’s why the American People voted the GOP out of office and also because of their stance on a whole host of social issues.

Well Cathy, the GOPs spending cuts do win over Obama’s or the Dems when it comes to cutting domestic spending but not so when it comes to Defence. So, Obama and the Dems are more responsible in asking for tax increases from those who won’t suffer the cuts. Seems fair and responsible to me instead of decimating the already cash strapped middle class with more cuts in public services and social safety nets in order to protect their rich constitutes from contributing in taxes.

Besides the other areas of TVbtN and my own website, of course
, I like where computer and photographic equipment are sold, most of them in the NYC area. And with those, sites like DPReview.
@1966 Thank you for that last post. That was a good start to my otherwise not so good Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas.
@tzca
he does one of the best versions of that song.
@1966. It is a very touching version. It is great to have the soul shaken by amazing vocals.
d.d.
I went to that Wolfram/Alpha website that you posted. Nice site!! I’m going to start using it. I listened to the part 1 and part 2. It was great. Thank you for that suggestion.

I was looking at Chris Arnade’s photography last night . After I looked at these, I went on to Flickr & looked at them all. What emotions these pictures express.

usa, you can say whatever you want about the proposed right wingers’ and t-baggers’ economics. In California with a super majority of Democrats and their voodoo Democrat economics, the State of California is bankrupt and is even more quickly going down the hill.
After January 2013, next week, when all the Democrat-encourged tax increases rise ON EVERYONE (not just the rich), we’re going to see California REALLY have its problem. I’m going to enjoy watching the 47 percent who don’t pay taxes that voted for the tax increases NOW figure out how to pay for THEIR OWN entitlements. Many of us who have been paying the taxes are leaving the state. I’ll be watching Calfornia Democrat economics from afar.
Republicans are irrelevant in California. So the Democrats can’t blame Bush, they can’t blame Republicans, they can’t blame earthquakes. It’s all in their hands.
I just love Josh Groban. He has the most beautiful voice.
((((TZCA)))) <—-these are hugs. Know that I am also having a quiet Christmas Eve and then tomorrow over to my sister's home. We'll have dinner and do some family things.
TZCA, I've known you a short time, but I'm think very highly of you and consider you a friend. I"m thinking of you.
We in America lead the world in gun ownership. For every 100 people, we have 88 guns. There are 25 nations in the world with higher murder rates than us (including Russia, were it is very difficult to get a gun).
Honduras has 6.6 guns per 100 people but they have the highest murder rate in the world.
The Swiss have one of the lowest murder rates in the world, and they have an “assault rifle” in every house.
In the right to bear arms debate, pro-gun Americans point to Switzerland, where almost every adult male is legally required to possess a gun. One of the few nations with a higher per capita rate of gun ownership than the United States, Switzerland has virtually no gun crime. Therefore, argue the pro-gunners, America doesn’t need gun control.
