Looks like 666 Park Avenue is being replaced by new episodes of Don't Trust The B and Happy Endings for at least one week in January, according to a program change press release issued by ABC today. Update:  They will also air from 10-11p on January 13 and January 20 and these airings are in addition to the regular Tuesday episodes. ABC plans to air the '666' episodes this summer.

ON ABC’S “DON’T Trust The B---- IN APARTMENT 23”

“Paris...” – June is nervous and excited about starting at Harken Financial. Things go surprisingly well, and she even meets an incredibly nice co-worker, Fox Paris. Chloe warns June, though, that she shouldn’t be so trusting and that Fox is probably just keeping her enemies close. Meanwhile, Mark looks to James for help in expressing his newfound feelings for June, on “Don’t Trust The B---- in Apartment 23,” SUNDAY, JANUARY 6 (10:31-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Note: This program replaces “666 Park Avenue.”

“Fowl Play/Date” – After Brad and Penny accidentally break Alex’s beloved childhood memento, they try to glue it back together. But they go from just being clumsy to “birderers” after Tyler, Alex’s racist parrot, keels over and dies from the glue fumes. Can they cover up the crime before Alex returns from her Rom-Com Com? Meanwhile, Jane and Dave try a little too hard to find a match for Max, on “Happy Endings,” SUNDAY, JANUARY 6 (10:01-10:31 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Note: This program replaces “666 Park Avenue.”

Will Happy Endings still air on Tuesday 8 January?

  • AJ

This might actual work. Revenge and Happy Endings are both young skewing shows.

  • Huh

Wait, so are they moving HE/APT23 to Sundays for good or just this one week? Im confused.

  • Kyle

You can’t blame ABC for trying to make these shows do better.

HE is in it’s third season and it one season from Syndication. B has been getting really good reviews and still is having a great season creatively.

Hey if they do well on this Sunday, MAYBE ABC will think about comedies at 10.

Wait, so are they moving HE/APT23 to Sundays for good or just this one week? Im confused.

It’s just the one week for now. Red widow is coming to the timeslot in March

  • CenterGravity

Will they not be showing the final epidodes of 666? Burn it on Saturdays? I hope ABC doesn’t pull the final episodes of Last Resort. Networks should always show all the episodes of a series that have been produced, as an obligation to the millions of people who invested their time in the show.

  • Oliver

ABC is testing them in another timeslot. This is a good candidate because 666 Park Avenue is dead, ABC had a gap in their schedule between 666PA’s scheduled end and Red Widow’s beginning, and ABC had more completed episodes of HE/A23 than scheduling spots anyway.

My guess/hope is that it does better than on Tuesday. It might benefit from a lack of similar competition, a decent (if not wholy compatible) lead-in, and people switching over from FG/AD on Fox.

I hope ABC airs the remaining episodes of 666 Park Avenue somewhere, even if it’s just on Saturday, just to reward viewers.

Whats taking the 9-10PM slot on Tuesday?

  • CH2164

    don’t you mean red widow?

  • Cyrax86

666PA has got only 4 more episodes so the timeslot would have been empty by February but Red Widow only starts a month after. Even if the comedies are burned off twice a week until DWTS comes back, 666PA can still air its 4 episodes in other timeslots substituting repeats.

  • Brandy

If happy endings and apt 23 do well enough and red widow is a instant flop then maybe this could be a viable timeslot for the two comedies.

  • Blake

According to Hollywood Reporter, they’ll keep the comedies on Sundays at 10 for several weeks (at least through January 20 – Hallmark movie airs January 27) and 666 Park Avenue (along with unaired episodes of the comedies) will be burned off in the summer.

  • Blake

The comedies will be preempted on Tuesday the 22nd (for a 2-hour Taste) and January 29 (State of the Union address).

    Just awesome!

The Happy Endings writers on twitter said ABC is going to be airing them 2 times a week (Sundays and Tuesdays!) Sucks they’re getting the burn-off treatment. But getting their full season is important too because it means they’ll be less likely to be cancelled, even if it means they have to move to TBS.

It’s on Deadline now as well, can’t believe they did not halt production of 666PA after the hurricane damages but now they decide to shelve the 4 episodes till the Summer?! ABC keeps outdoing itself in terms of bad scheduling decisions!

  • J.G.

I can’t tell whether this is a burn-off or a legitimate last-ditch effort on ABC’s part. The timeslot gives me pause, but it’s far more welcoming on Sundays @ 10, especially with SNF out of the way. Who knows…

  • Jerry

Okay, I don’t really get this. I didn’t mind 666 and was happy that they were reworking the last few episodes to give a resolution – and now it’s held indefinitely? We’ll see if it ever airs in the summer (Where are those Breaking In episodes Fox?). It was only 4 more episodes. Blah!
