MIAMI – DECEMBER 21, 2012 – From December 10 to December 16, the Univision Network showed record growth as a symbol of the Spanish-language network’s strong performance across many of its key programs.  Last week’s extensive coverage of Jenni Rivera’s tragic death on Univision drove the following programs to historic ratings successes: “Despierta América” (Wake-Up America), “Hoy” (Today), “El Gordo y la Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny), “Primer Impacto” (First Impact), “Noticiero Univision” (Univision News) and “Noticiero Univision Edicion Nocturna” (Univision News Late Night Edition).

This marked the fifth consecutive week that “Noticiero Univision” outperformed “CBS Evening News” in the Adult 18-34 demographic group. “Noticiero Univision” also averaged more Adults 18-49 than “CBS Evening News” with a strong audience advantage of +16% last week.

With two times more Adults 18-34 viewers, Univision has also outperformed the CW every single year since 2006 in broadcast primetime.
