Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

If you take the averages, doesn’t NBC have a 0.35 rating (or 0.4 if rounded up) and CBS only have a 0.3?

  • AH

WOOPS! Disregard my post, missed the last hour for some reason. Sorry.

  • andy

For everyone mentioning how bad the WWE ratings are, it was a condensed episode of the one that aired during the week on the USA Network.

If it had been aired on NBC first then it would have probably drawn more viewers and MIJ would have probably finished last for the hour at 9pm had that not been an encore.

  • Aaron Explicable

If only WWE RAW would start tumbling down to ratings like Tribute to the Troops did, then maybe Vince would start making the product more interesting again.

  • John

Tribute to the troops was a rerun from Wednesdays airing, it getting a 0.3 isn’t bad for a saturday.

  • John

And the tribute to the troops shown last night was cut a whole hour from Wednesdays 2 hour show.

  • shawn

Guess nobody gives a rat’s about the troops.

  • Survivor Fan

MIJ came close to the aal-time record Big Four low of 0.2. It was set three times:
    Kings (7/4/09)
    Escape Routes (3/31/12)
    Escape Routes (3/31/12)

All of those were on Saturdays or holidays.

  • Jane Elliot

@Tom: Not a chance. LA Complex is a Canadian show that costs the CW nothing more than the licensing fee. MIJ, on the other hand, is a US production that, even with a drastically reduced price, would still cost more than LA Complex.

  • Austin Lauran

I read somewhere on this website that there was some Saturday night show on CBS that aired in 2003-2004 & was cracking 6′s in the demo? Does anybody know if that’s true?

  • Dan

Made in Jersey has 2 more eps left to air both airing next sat. A total of 8 eps

  • Chris

ABC numbers are probably inflated because Monday Night Football was on the ABC affiliates in both markets (Atlanta and Detroit).

  • Gary Whitson

Anyone watching the Mr. Magoo special would have seen a badly butchered editing job. They cut out the whole premise that it was a play being done by Mr. Magoo and cut some of the song numbers. They should never have bothered showing it. Either do it right or not at all!

  • KevinY

I really like Made in Jersey. It’s a positive uplifting show. America is too cynical to enjoy a show like this right now apparently.

  • Ryan

Well, the man reason “Tribute to the Troops” bombed was of two reasons, I think:

    1. It originally aired on USA on Wednesday
    2. It was split in half

  • Ram510

Tribute to te Troops had already aired twice I believe before last night so I’m not surprised people opted not to watch again especially with it being a shortened version

  • Nick

    @Chris

ABC numbers are probably inflated because Monday Night Football was on the ABC affiliates in both markets (Atlanta and Detroit).

Uh, how does Monday Night Football have any effect on the Saturday ratings? I hope you know that MNF airs on, ahem, Monday.

  • Joe D

    @Gary

Amen! Why do they bother to restore it to HD and Blu-Ray quality and then chop it up. The original was 51 minutes and 44 without the theater wraparound anticipating syndication and a shorter time. The commercial placement was also awful. Did they actually look at when inserting them? Apparently not.

  • psychic

Made in Jersey is so laughably pathetic it’s ridiculous.

  • CrimeDawg

Of course the Tribute to the Troops show already aired on USA on Wednesday, this was a shortened version of what aired before.
