    1966, very nice.

Edie Brikall (not sure of spelling) She was married to I think Paul Simon. I think it’s entitled Good Times, Bad Times, What do you think of that!

Can you play that? I haven’t heard that in forever.

Doug the key is that there is NO provision to move them to a third party!

I saw the head of Social Security during the government shutdown or almost shutdown. He said that if the government totally shut down that by law, it was his responsibility to sell these bonds and they are highly liquid like a treasury bond. He also stated that it was not of his authority. It was by law. So he had to sell these bonds if the government shut down and there was no money for Social Security recipients by law.

As I watched him I did not know anything about what he was talking about and I was highly surprised. What he was stating that there is no way even if the government shut down or had no money that Social Security recipients would not get their money because these bonds are highly liquid and will be sold just like treasury bonds.

He also stated that liquidating these bonds was just as easy as liquidating treasury bonds. And could be done in one day and Social Security recipients would not even be late on their paycheck.

This was the first time I’d ever heard anybody talk about this.

Doug the key is that there is NO provision to move them to a third party!

Social Security money has been turned over to the Treasury Department. It is law that the treasury has to sell bonds to pay Social Security recipients. First.

Social Security ran a deficit this quarter in the money it took in from taxes. But it ran a surplus after the interest paid by the Treasury Department for stealing their money.

That newspaper in New York that posted the names and addresses of all gun owners in New York, The Journal News, well, apparently ALL over the internet people are posting the names, addresses and phone numbers of all the journalists that work at The Journal News and they’re posting the names and addresses of all the owners of the Liberal Journal News and the Gannett News.

Many people are looking up the homes and finding out just how wealthy the Liberal owners of the newspapers are. Plus, of course, the newspaper is getting a LOT of its own medicine. It’s very comical to watch.

I wonder how the owners and journalists of The Journal News feel about their names, addresses and phone numbers of their private homes being listed on the internet. That can’t feel good. Ouch!!! lol

Next time you wonder why people are becoming anti-union, think about this.

    is that what you wanted?

  • BevAG

@1966, yes, it is!!! I haven’t heard that in years. She’s just so beautiful and I love the way she sings.

Back in the day when I worked (for the government), we’d all come to my office during the day when we had heavy duty stuff going on, and we’d all rock to this song for 3:13 minutes and veg out and then go back to work.

This was such a stress reliever and it’s got a great beat. It reminds me of the day. Great memories.

    Thank you, 1966. :)
