The lunatic killer who just shot the firemen committed the heinous act with a Bushmaster. He said his favorite thing to do was “kill people.” Obviously, the easier it is for lunatics (and there are MANY of them) to get hold of assault type weapons with large magazines and tumbling/fragmenting bullets, the greater the likelihood of many more killing incidents occurring. There is NO need for people to have assault weapons–it has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. The misinformation posted by Doug Z has been refuted on the net as FALSE, with respect to Switzerland and Israel. It’s just common sense that permitting lunatic killers easy access to assault wepaons is a recipe for disaster–and we have seen it repeat almost every week. The insensivity of the NRA and some of its followers is striking!!!!!!!!

Charles Durning, what an interesting human being. In an age where many attempt to sensationalize and capitalize on their victimhood, this man refused to discuss his many hardships. He endured severe personal losses, physical and emotional injury and succeeded in the entertainment industry. RIP…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0GVUXh4tQQ&feature=player_embedded

The lunatic killer who just shot the firemen committed the heinous act with a Bushmaster. The lunatic killer should never been allowed to plead guilty in lib land to manslaughter for bashing grandma head in with a hammer..Paroled 12 years short of full sentence by libs saying – give the poor boy a second chance…

What are you trying to do? You know you can never educate usa8888, nor any other un-educated voter re: dumbocrat.

Giving them real facts only confuses them.

Just look at usa0000 and his posts, that will only confirm that fact.

  • usa8888

Hopefully, the right wing radicals will enroll in college soon so they can at least grasp the lunacy of their views with respect to economics and social issues…..
Could ibsles, Cathy and Bev talk some sense into the House t-bags re the fiscal cliff solutions and do what the American People and Obama suggest or do we have to defeat all the bags in the House in 2014 to effect sensible change?

    “CHICAGO , Illinois”

Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 killed in Iraq.

And Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws
    in the entire U.S.

Does THAT tell you anything ?
    President: Barack Hussein Obama
    Senator: Dick Durbin
    House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.
    Governor: Pat Quinn
    House leader: Mike Madigan
Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
    Mayor: Rahm Emanuel
The leadership in Illinois – all Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.

Of course, they’re all blaming each other.
    Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any !

Chicago School system rated one of the worst in the Country.

State pension fund $78 Billion in debt,
    Worst in Country.

Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in Country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he was going to ‘fix’ Washington politics for us ?

  • BevAG

Having all Democrats in Chicago has made Chicago a war zone. (Can’t blame Bush, can’t blame Republicans. Both are irrelevant in Chicago).

Having all Democrats in California has made California go over the fiscal cliff. (Can’t blame Bush, can’t blame Republicans. Both are irrelevant in California).

So what do Democrats have to offer? Disaster. Thank goodness the t-baggers in Washington are standing up to them.

  • Hillbilly

A 5 to 1 ratio if we go over the fiscal cliff.

    Source.

Some $536 billion in tax increases, touching nearly all Americans, because various federal tax cuts and breaks expire at year’s end.

About $110 billion in spending cuts divided equally between the military and most other federal departments. That’s about 8 percent of their annual budgets, 9 percent for the Pentagon.

I blame both parties for making such a lopsided deal. All this 3 to 1 (Simpson – Bowels) & Nobama’s 2.5 cuts for every dollar in taxes is hogwash. Sounds good but doesn’t get passed into law. Still waiting for any liberal to tell me where Nobama’s $2 trillion in cuts are. Heck tell me $1 trillion he’s put on the table.

I notice defense is being cut more. For those who say big deal 1%..well then you won’t mind a 1% across the board cut then, or will you?

No cable news shows on the list.

    Carry over from Thursday’s conversation.

    —————————-

Last i heard when you retire & go sign up for SS they base your monthly check on the last 3 years of your wages. I’m not sure if they only look at just what you earned or also look at your income from investments. If you have no or very little income from investments it’s based on the last 3 years of your wages. I’ll double check to make sure i heard them correctly.

I know 3 people (none had large investment income that i know of) who retired in the last 2 years & that’s what their monthly checks were based on. So get a high paying job 3 years before you retire. :)

The genius switch is never off in my brain.
