   Am I missing something? Why was Leverage cancelled? A .7 rating on cable on Christmas Day is suddenly a bad thing?

   Because wanted a reason to cancelled the show so it move the and people really know mit was back on. tnt want to put junk is it place that why no matter anyone say.

   I was surprised on the Leverage cancellation as its not an underperforming series.

   NBA games did very well this year on ABC/ESPN.

   I’m surprised Doctor Who was so low it was a great special I guess it’s just not as big still in the US.

   Leverage’s numbers are actually still quite good. Unless TNT was only taking into account Sundays numbers from this past summer for their cancellation decision.

   I don’t think Timothy Hutton’s salary was so ridiculous and it probably doesn’t cost that much to shoot in Portland. I’m guessing that TNT wants to add something new since they have alot of Pilots waiting in the wing (I can think of 2…the one starring Eric Dane and the other starring Sean Bean) and something had to go.

   Leverage was pulling quite a few .5s, which is bad for TnT originals. Wasn’t that the series finale? Of course it would get a bump.

   Leverage’s cancellation is probably a very good example of why this site doesn’t like to predict the fate of cable shows. Ratings obviously don’t tell enough of the story to be terribly predictive.

   Is NBA really profitable w/ those numbers. Cause compared to MNF those numbers are laughable & TNT payed a multi-billion dollar deal to telecast some of there games.

   TNT is doing good with R&I. Old ppl love them some TNT I tell ya.

    Gonna miss Leverage. It was a great finale, with great references to the original pilot episode (Sophie finally did McBeth correctly – because it was part of the con! ), and the return of Mark Shephard as Jim Sterling. It would have been even nicer if they’d done what they did last season and bring in EVERYBODY from earlier shows. And it would have served as a season finale given the last minute had they been renewed.

    Definitely one of the best shows on TV in the last five years.

    Zillajay23, the 1.43 million viewers for The Snowmen is the second-highest single telecast in the history of BBC America, beaten only by the Doctor Who S7 premiere, which had 1.55 million viewers. I think last year’s Christmas special was under 1 million, so this is quite an improvement, and I’m sure BBC America is thrilled with 1.43 million viewers, especially on Christmas night.

    Good to see R and I up for it season finale. A Christmas Story on TBS did good this year again.

    I am gonna miss leverage, although, im pretty sure I remember 2 full episodes where Hardison wanted to lead the team. I thought he would be in the chair at the end.

    ya, I think I was expecting a little bit higher for Doctor Who. But then, Americans don’t really watch TV on Christmas. That’s a very British thing; from what I hear, it’s a kind of British tradition to just watch TV all day on Christmas. That’s why they have so many Christmas day specials… Meanwhile, it’s just a bunch of re-runs here in the US

    TNT originals did bad, What everybody is saying? When repeats of TBBT get 1.6, when they generally get lower ratings, the Christmas excuse doesn’t stand. Even the movie on USA did better than the usual SVU repeats, so it’s not that people don’t watch cable on Christmas. They just don’t watch TNT. Well, at least not young people…

    Leverage was TNT lower rated show with F&B, but it must have been more expensive given its age. That’s why it was canceled.

    Good for Doctor Who; that was the best Christmas episode they’ve done since the series revival.

    I thought Doctor Who would do better, the special was great but they made this years mystery to easy to figure out.

    For those wishing that Doctor Who would have done better, it did — 1.434 million/0.6 for this year’s Christmas special versus 0.933 million/0.4 last year. That’s quite a jump, and BBC America is surely pleased.
