I don’t watch MSNBC, so my comments about the network are few, but, I just watched a video of Ed Schultz where he proclaimed “ I Own a Lot of Firearms.”
“To paraphrase Gandhi, let the change begin with you, Ed,” Jack Coleman wrote. “Seeing how you’ve often said over the airwaves that you own numerous guns.
Does Ed still own guns ?
MSNBC’s Ed Schultz went off on a caller to his radio program recently, saying the Second Amendment is no longer needed because it was written by “some dead people”
Schultz denounced the Second Amendment because it was written by men who “owned slaves, oppressed women, and were short on tolerance.”
Ironically, the First Amendment right to free speech that Schultz uses every day was also written by those same dead slave owners.

It is cold and cloudy but the snow missed us again for the most part. I have to run the snow blower over the driveway because of a few small drifts from the other day but no real shoveling to do. I dont think we have anything coming our way for at least the next week. FINE WITH ME!!
Shultz has always talked out of both sides of his mouth. He Talks about American business but he bought a fishing resort in Canada! He talks about the evil 1% but he IS one! He has talked about the evils of spouse abuse but he is guilty of that himself! He hugs and kisses the unions and their workers but he and his sons own a non-union construction company! As for the guns, he has shown pictures of his “kills” from his hunting trips on his show (and pics of the “catches” from fishing trips) but tries to justify his gun stanse by saying that he only has “hunting” guns, yea, whatever.
He is so full of “it” (and himself) and that is just one of the reasons I can no longer watch him. Oh did I mention he used to be a rightie but switched sides when there was more money in it for him to be a leftie??

I have one on the front of my tractor. I just send the snow over to my neighbors!! Over time I have moved from shovel to snmall snow thrower to bigger snow blower to small tractor with plow to bigger tractor with plow to tractor with snow blower. Next step is a decision, call somebody and hire it out oooooor get the hell out of here and go where there is NO snow!!!!
Bev–the whole country is for a ban on assault type weapons, large magazines, and fragmenting/tunbling bullets for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, people like you want to continue to make weapons of mass death by lunatic killers available to practically anyone because you think you have a 2nd Amendment right. You can carry your”regular” weapon but not weapons of mass death. The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with it.

Look at what Obama did with Sandy Hook. Instead of being a good leader and calming people down, he stirred the pot.
The general public is to busy living their lives to truly judge if the politicians are truly doing a good job. The dems have learned this. So, they use any event like Sandy Hook to work people up creating a high profile job for them to do.

I think there are good people in Detroit attempting to stop the urban rot, but, they are in the minority. I’ve followed Detroit ever since the GM meltdown, reading every day the auto blog on what the UAW thought they deserved. Most union members cared very little about fairness. For example , today I read where an elderly lady , expecting to help supplement her living with her GM bonds, just received a check for $152.00. She had $10,000 invested. We never hear of these kind of hardships with the GM restructuring .
Detroit was a beautiful city with gracious homes & commercial & public architecture with good bones. It makes me so sad to see the city fall in such unrepair as the result of liberal policies , crime , graft by public officials , unstoppable immigration , & citizen malaise .
Mayor Bing has waited too long to solve this in-city. He had a chance early on with a tough love policy but I doubt the council would have gotten on board. Detroit’s financial problem is so many years in the making. Former Democratic mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was a crook who took bribes plus he also looted the pension fund. Overall, a Detroit Free Press investigation estimates that corrupt and incompetent trustees appointed by Democratic officials over many years in Detroit are responsible for almost half a billion dollars in investments gone wrong.
So, Detroit is now a city that is broke, has lost population, & thus, taxes, buildings & homes are abandoned, weeds are everywhere, many of the street lights are gone…ripped out by the city workers, & , people feel powerless but still want their free stuff .

If it weren’t for the old aged people, Fox would be much loweer in the ratings. Nothing wrong with old age, but the ad agencies don’t consider this in ad buys, generally.

The problem with the Republican Party is a our fiscal liberals, big spenders, just like the Democrats. It’s amazing that one any presidential elections whatsoever. They gave us George Bush, George Walker Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney for president. You can’t get any more liberal than these guys. They also only have five fiscal conservatives in both houses. The Republicans are fiscal liberals, big spenders.

Switzerland has the least amount of gun violence in the world. They also have the most guns per population in the world. Every male child at age 20, goes into the military and is given an automatic rifle, not a semi automatic. They will keep this machine gun until they are 50 years old. Because in Switzerland. They are in the military until they are 50 years old or 55 for officers. They are also given ammunition for these machine guns, which they keep in their house.
The people of Switzerland are better armed than even the Israelites. They also have the least gun violence in the world. Most people do not understand Switzerland and the way their country operates.

I’m liking Switzerland’s laws more and more every day. It sounds like the Swiss are very realistic and reasonable people.
I think we should look at getting more like Switzerland than that rat-hole Europe. (I’m only talking about Europe’s politics and policies. Europe’s geography is beautiful).
Doug–your false commentary re gun control in Switzerland and Israel has been debunked by those representning those countries. It’s a good thing that right wingers (I mean way out types like you , Cathy and Bev) make up only a small minority of the US–such that you could never elect a President. The t-party is crunbling, Fox’s ratings are crumbling…and that’s a GOOD thing the future of this country. What is wrong with the United States is not the guns! What is wrong with United States is its people, or population. Google Switzerland and study their government and decentralized federal government, and their lack of violence. For that matter, they are not a socialist government either. For their federal government lacks the power. When the Liberals look at Switzerland and say look I’ll socialist. They are they are looking at just cities and not the federal government.
Queen Elizabeth could not figure out why Switzerland had such a great economy. The fact was they were the first true capitalist country with no slaves. They also had property rights which all of Europe did not until after World War I. That is a very interesting fact that only the nobleman or land barons could own property. They could not even sell this property amongst themselves. It was to be transferred to the oldest son only.
The house of commons was unable to change these laws for the House of Lords would not let it
