Elementary was adjusted up a tenth, while Two and a Half Men, the 8:30 episode of The Mindy Project and Beauty & the Beast were adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus the preliminary Thursday broadcast ratings.

all repeats. who really cares?
TBBT is so unfunny. can’t believe so many people watch it billion times.
TBBT repeats better than originals of almost all other shows!
Elemntary repeated pretty well.
All of CBS repeated really well.
Tbbt is a beast… Even its repeat can beat 95 % of other shows new episodes..
I know most people here like to ignore repeats, but repeats do count in the final yearly ratings Nielsen reports at the end of the season. When you see the final ratings and ranking of the shows at year end all 36 weeks are reported including the repeat numbers unless a show is marked as a special on a certain week. So, yes, repeats do count.
Damn about BATB downward adjustment…but at least we got a picture out of it! LOL
Amazing ratings for Big Bang Theory- for a REPEAT show that REPEATS can be watched on 100 different channels and 1000 different times.
12million… idiots probably couldn’t tell if it was a repeat or not. Well they do say TBBT is only watched by stupid people.
TBBT is the new “Friends” of its generation. Its great for what it represents- geeks/nerds!!! Nerds have finally been recognized in the media as cool/interesting people. TBBT is definately the most original sitcom out there as there has been no other hit sitcome ever centered around a bunch of intellectual geeks! There have been too many shows about work( office, 30 rock, parks&rec, community- any NBC sitcom), about families( middle, modern family, Raymond, Cosby, etc), and about friends( Seinfeld, Cheers, Friends, etc). Its nice to have a unique show on TV!!! TBBT will definately get 10 seasons- it does so well in syndication, especially on TBS. It scores 3.5 million total vieweres and 1.6 in 18-49 demo- which is better than most NBC sitcoms that air new episodes. Go Big Bang!!!!!!!!!! Jim & Kaley make the show!!!!!!!!
NBC needs to start putting some heart and values into their shows- most of them are cold and heartless/depressing sitcoms that have a “sick/odd” humor that only a certain age group can appreciate! Guys with Kids has potential as it is the only family NBC sitcom I have seen in years.
Personally I would love to see Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh come back with new episodes but instead in primetime tv- the show was a hit with kids and teens from 2004-2007 and is still on Nickelodeon(cable) averaging 2.6 million viewers daily at 7pm with repeates that are 5 yrs old or older!!!! It even gets a 0.7 in 18-49 demo which is huge in reruns that are 5 yrs old and on basic cable childrens network!!! Drake & Josh are now in their mid to late 20?s and should bring the show back with adult humor. Dan Schneider and Steven Moloraro should consider it. Perhaps the next chuck lorre sitcom??? If you never saw Drake & Josh you should watch it- classic
@ DaxJackson……… I graduated in the top ten of my class of 300 students and was in the National Honor Society, and got a 2240 on my SAT and im in the honors program at my university…… and I watch and love the Big Bang Theory. Your theory is wrong, get on my level!!!
@Sitcoms Rule, you’re so right about NBC comedies being damn cold! the last I remember having any warmth is Outsourced some time ago (but I didnt watch any new comedy of the network ever since they pulled this show to 10 pm after few episodes, which led to cancellation).
Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait…
The Earth began to cool,
The autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang!
“Since the dawn of man” is really not that long,
As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song.
A fraction of a second and the elements were made.
The bipeds stood up straight,
The dinosaurs all met their fate,
They tried to leap but they were late
And they all died (they froze their asses off)
The oceans and Pangea
See ya wouldn’t wanna be ya
Set in motion by the same big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!
It’s expanding ever outward but one day
It will pause and start to go the other way,
Collapsing ever inward, we won’t be here, it won’t be heard
Our best and brightest figure that it’ll make an even bigger bang!
Australopithecus would really have been sick of us
Debating how we’re here, they’re catching deer (we’re catching viruses)
Religion or astronomy (Descartes or Deuteronomy)
It all started with the big bang!
Music and mythology, Einstein and astrology
It all started with the big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!
Repeats do count because networks can command higher ad rates if the show repeats well and that is how they recover their cost. Most shows have to air 2 or even 3 times before they show a profit
Hence why CBS is hugely profitable. Most of their crime dramas and sitcoms repeat decently, they screen them on Saturdays, through the holidays like now and all summer long.
If a show doesn;t repeat well, it better get damn good ratings or demos like GA, otherwise it heads straight to the cancellation bin very quickly
Very impressed at Elementary repeat numbers as well. It managed to beat some original episodes of Vegas.
GO PERSON OF INTEREST!!! ROCK STEADY!!!
@Sitcoms Rule Yet you still spell ‘honors’ wrong… Americans… pfft Forever butchering English.
