MSNBC sweeps in the demo again. CNN increasing, too, Fox on the downturn….
What did MSNBC show in primetime on Sunday? They fell to 4th place in the demo and 3rd place in total viewers.
no one cares about the weekend..nobody watches tv on the weekends…when the msnbc stars get 2 million and up viewers during the week and each and every hour like oreilly and baier regularly do. let me know…the losers on msnbc barely make a million viewers each program. especially lately usa8888 what a pathetic puppy you are…you sound so desperate sometimes…
Glad you’re back ,usnretiredx2
I saved this just for you !

cathy ,
I have to admit I was skeptical but not sure. THANKS, Apple
I have been compiling this :
what won’t be taxed
- -
contacts
glasses
hearing aids
bandages
denture adhesive
pregnancy test
- -
Taxed
dental tools & equipment
stents
Replacement Valves
Transducer Catheters
BP cuffs
stethoscopes
all kinds of monitors
Surgical Instruments
total knees & hips
endoscopic
Cat scan
Computer assisted surgery
lasers
MRI
Glucose Meters ?
Sports Medicine instruments
wheelchairs,
infusion pumps
pacemaker
defibrillators
Oxygen tanks
How does taxing pacemakers, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, etc. make healthcare more “affordable”?
You forgot cotton balls, plastic gloves, examine gowns and on and on.
My husband Cardiologist – a life long democrat says the health care act is going to make a major mess of our health care system. His words, “It will be a mess for five to six years then we will get it all fixed. It’s going to be better because the act will make us clean up medicare and medicaid waste.”
It’s going to be a bumping next few years, unless the libs are right. I truly hope that I’m wrong. Only time will tell.
Why would the act help clean up medicare and medicaid waste? This hopelessly complicated law, coupled with the fact that more money will be involved, will only increase the waste, fraud and abuse that are so devastating to the health care system already.
According to Obama the Health Care Act pays for itself. Because now people can afford health care and that means more health care customers. More customers mean more profits.
For a simple mind this makes sense. But I see three bad assumptions here.
1) If health care was only a product this may work. But most of health care is a service. A service whose price is fixed by health insurance companies. Taxing medical equipment increases the cost of running a doctor’s practice and a hospital. So, every worker in the medical field now has to see more patients in order for the business to make the same profit as it did before the affordable health care act.
2) Obama’s statement assumes that people without health insurance never got medical attention. We all know this is a false statement. Their urgent and emergency needs were always addressed. Most of what weren’t done were annual check-ups.
3) A service industry is only benefited with an increase in customers when there is a surplus of supplier. We don’t have a surplus of doctors. The U.S. actually has a shortage of primary care physicians which is the area that will be most impacted by the health care act.
Now, people will say that getting annual check-ups will decrease medical cost because disease are found quicker. Health insurance company studies show this is only true when patients are compliant, which less than 40% are.
@Hoppy, it was a democratic doctor saying it. He believes that the act is going to make thing a big mess and it will finial force us to clean up the health care system.
I don’t believe it. I only stated it for the first part. That a life long democrat believe the act is going to make a big mess of the health care system for five years.
FBI: More People Killed with Hammers, Clubs Each Year than Rifles
According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.
This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats’ feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course.
However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. For in looking at the FBI numbers from 2005 to 2011, the number of murders by hammers and clubs consistently exceeds the number of murders committed with a rifle.
Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.
And so the list goes, with the actual numbers changing somewhat from year to year, yet the fact that more people are killed with blunt objects each year remains constant.
John Boehner, the best non-Democrat Speaker the Left has ever had!
Doug Z, what I find more interesting then how people are murder is how low the murder rate is.
cathy,
I am an RN & have two sisters that are too, plus, 3 brothers & a Dad who are Drs. No one in the family is looking forward to Obamacare. What a poorly crafted disaster.
Hey, did you see where the extreme right wing radical Amy Kremer of the Tea Party Express (and I thought this group was extincet…oh-not quite yet, apparently) tweeted from another universe that she was against Sen Chambliss of Georgia and all the Repubs voting for Obama’s fiscal plan …and that she would do everything to get him ousted–probably call in some of the Koch Bros’ money to try to buy an election. Kremer wanted the US and the world economy to go over the edge into oblivion. Of course, this woman has no education in economics and her frame of thinking is circa the Cival War…..she forgets that her errorneous and deleterious philosophy was SOUNDLY DEFEATED in the recent election and that all polls show the American People support Obama’s fiscal plan–even the moderate GOP supports it…..but this lunatic fringe persists……..
D.D.,
I was surprised by my husband’s doctor. He is a big Obama fan. So, I was surprised he said Obama plan would make a mess. His spin that it would get cleaned up wasn’t a surprise.
Most doctors I know think its a disaster just like your family.
Hey Cathy and DD–I got news for you: the right wing GOP is quite content for medical costs to increase at 100% every ten years–this is completley unsustainable and has resulted in employers covering less and less of their employees’ benefits and/or poorer coverage. Medical care is changing radically now–it’s not the same as it was a few years ago. Obama is trying to bring down the huge cost of healthcare and offer things that the GOP can’t even comprehend–like “no preconditions,” no caps, etc. The days of insurance companies using their lobbyists to buy GOP votes are over. And Obama’s plan will be improved in the future but it is a good step in the right direction. The GOP has, as usual, offered nothing of any substance……
I see the brain dead age group are still watching MSNBC. It want be until the get a lot older they will see they were made fools of.
Hillbilly,
Are you into only counting 25-54 group?
@cathy,
Hillbilly only counts up to 10. All kidding aside, he counts whatever group is easier for him to make predictions about and <gasp> win other people’s cars.
@ clinging to my god
I disagree. Just because msnbc can’t reach the 2 million level does not mean they are losing. They are not getting killed in “the demo” and you can watch their primetime and see that based on their list of advertisers.
I bet it’s easier to sell Maddow than Hannity or O’Reilly.
Same with Jon Stewart. Lexus and Apple buy his show all the time.
