At least Fox News has on liberals all the time…of course, they prove just how rediculous a liberal sounds outside the echo chamber, but they do give both sides…
———————-
On MSNBC has conservatives on, much like the so called lefties on Fox they generally are passive and don’t call the station out on it’s crap. Whenever I see a so called liberal on Fox I just want to pull my hair out because they seem to not call the station out on it’s crap or hypocrisy(when I easily could). In general it seems like the bulk of the righties on MSNBC and lefties on Fox are moderates
It should be pointed out in the case of both MSNBC or FOX, just ebcause you bring on a token liberal/lefty or conservative/righty it doesn’t make either station fair or balanced. Both stations are basically entertainment stations that pander to a particular audience for the most part that focus on news as it’s source of discussion. The only difference to me is MSNBC does less to hide the fact they are what they are, while FOX tries to pass itself off as some legitimate “fair and balanced” news source.
Matthew,
I think you read to much into the 2012 election. Rarely do we have a one term President. The party of the seating President normally picks up house and senate seats during a presidential election. If Romney’s 47% statement and Sandy wouldn’t have happened it highly likely there would be a Republican in the White House.
If the Health Care act causes problems in the health care system like many predict. If it causes the economy to fall into a recession like many predict. The republicans are playing it right. Look they let Obama win the fiscal cliff battle.
Maybe I’m over estimating the average American but if the economy is better in 2014 we’ll have more democrats. If the economy is bad we get more Republicans. Polls show that 72% of American believe we need to cut spending. In two months when Obama comes back and ask for a raise in the debt ceiling, more taxes and more spending. Americans are going to be backing blocking the increases.
Its all our faults we elect these boobs into office. we have relected sentors that were going on 100 year old and complain Washington is broke No reality anymore they pass a tax increase thats going to add 4 trillion more dollars to the debt in ten years and they call it reducing the debt crazy. I can see to extend un-employment, but why does hollywod need tax breaks, Captain Morgan rum, NASCAR race tracks and numerous other get tax breaks ? According to POTUS we need to closed tax loopholes for corpprations and rich people that normal americans dont get and he signs the bill with this junk in it. Then this crazy debt solution from congressmen Nadler from NY have the mint make a 1 trillion dollars coin to help reduce the debt thought it was a joke but it’s not.
What does the federal government do with all the flood insurance money they collect each year? People in flood areas are forced to buy this insurance (if they have a mortgage), through out the U.S.
What the heck do people want now of days? It’s sad that people lost their lives in the Aurora Movie Theater. Why do family members of the died believe they have a right to demand the theater become a monument to their loved ones. The theater owners waited five months before re-opening. And people call the owners heartless, cold and callous for reopening the theater. Callous would have been sending their family’s a bill for the clean-up. This shooting wasn’t the fault of the theater owners. I could understand the statements from the families if the deaths were caused by carelessness on the owners behalf.
But are we to take down very building where more the ten people are killed and put up a monument to the loss?

Ron300–the fact that Seattle and Portland people don’t listen to left oriented radio, if true, just means they are out doing other things. As anyone knows, both markets are left leaning and always vote democratic….
White House War on Women Escalates
The White House’s Flickr account recently released a photo of President Barack Obama and his top advisers. The complete absence of women in the image is another reminder that females are underrepresented in Obama’s staff.
Additionally, the president still pays his female employees significantly less than their male counterparts.
The Obama White House in 2011 paid female staffers 18 percent less than their male colleagues:
Apple–your statistics are misleading. In the bradcasting business, you look at trends that are likely to predict future ratings. It is immediately obvious that MSNBC is gaining on Fox and, in fact, relative to the all important “demo”, MSNBC beats Fox routinely now. Another obvious finding is that Fox’s audience is skewed to very old people, much more so than MSNBC. This has negative implications for Roger and Rupert and could result in fewer advertising dollars (unless they are selling reverse mortgages schemes and gold, as they routinely do)… you might want to adjust your calculator and your methodology……

According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).
DougZ–Obama is FOR women and has done everything possible to get them equal pay for equal work (which the right wingers have voted down!!!–you remeber the Lily Ledbetter Act!!!) and to get them proper healthcare (which the right wingers have voted down!!!). And the far right “legitimate rape” guys in the GOP are an embarrassment to everyone. Doug, for you to assert that Obama has a war on women is as wrong as to say that Peyton Manning has no passing expertise!!! In fact, the American Poeople (and women by the droves) know that the right wing GOP is based in the Civil War era and still continues its WAR ON WOMEN..
Mr usa, Why do Dems do this
The Obama White House in 2011 paid female staffers 18 percent less than their male colleagues:
According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).
Mr usa
Dems
The Obama reelection campaign, though better, was also a bastion of inequality:
The Obama reelection campaign’s female employees earned an average of $6,872 during that period, compared with an average of $7,235 for male employees. That is a difference of $363, or 5.3 percent.
The annualized pay difference is more than $2,100 per year.
It is unclear when Obama and the Democrats will call off the war on women.
Cathy–the solution is obvious to everyone but right wing gun hawks like you: BAN all assault type weapons, large magazines, and fragmenting/tumbling bullets. There are an increasing plethora of lunatics around these days and gving them easy access to weapons of mass death is absurd. There is NO 2nd amendment need for such a thing–these assault weapons would be useless against the US government anyway. The NRA will try to buy GOP lackeys who favor absurd gun legislations. But, now, they will be met with resistance. Even NRA memebers (the majority) favor tighter gun laws…..Cathy–did you get you nuclear tipped bullets for Christmas? Remember, nuclear tipped bullets don’t kill people, people kill people.
Mr usa————-Why this then
Doug–it depends on what the women do and the job description…..but you miss the main point I addressed. Refute my position……with something that makes sense…………
Doug–the right wing doesn’t get it—STILL–they lost the election by huge margins and virtually all of their philosophies were repudiated…and they still cling to absurd philosophies–they don’t learn……why? Even Pavlov’s dog learned………..
A tale of two Als: Why Al Gore sold out to Al Jazeera
One’s a former Vice-President turned environmental activist, the other’s a fast-growing media brand owned by one of the world’s biggest oil exporters. So why has Al Gore sold his TV channel to Al Jazeera?
what’s wrong with you apple stinx. usa knows everything lol
