Not my numbers, Gallup, WaPo, and Pew’s numbers.
Of course they’re a waste of time – a single bipartisan, negotiated act in a last minute bill accomplished more than 33 empty gestures. If the Republicans attempt to repeal the bill every minute of everyday from now until 2014, they will not succeed. If the Republicans win every single Democratic Senate seat up for grabs in 2014, they will not succeed.
Polling shows that, if nothing else, a majority of the American public agrees that they’d rather the Congress WORK than stall, even if their work is imperfect. So, empty gestures are fine if you’re in a gerrymandered district, they’re not so fine if you’re trying to win the presidency, or a senate seat – moderates loathe dysfunction.
@d.d. NO… no… she is going to a halloween party. (whispering) I thought that was a photo of a guy in drag at first.

for you ratboy.
Fox News number one cable news network in prime time & total day viewers.
FNC is on fire.
1966 wins the prediction this week.
I predicted he would be right so do i win too?
Lowest show last week was Sponge Bob – 3675. I predict no cable news shows in next week’s top 25.
It’s the 33 “empty gestures” (as you call them) that keeps the problems with the health care bill as topics. That single bipartisan negotiated act may not have been possible without the 33 repeal bills. How can you just discount that fact? Just because something doesn’t fit your point of view, you give it no credit.
“If the Republicans attempt to repeal the bill every minute of everyday from now until 2014, they will not succeed.”
Now, you are being silly. Because they did have a small success. A section of the Health bill was repealed. We all know how thing work in Washington. You put a bill up for voting knowing it won’t pass and hoping you get parts of it. You know they are going to bring it up just enough to keep it fresh in everyone’s minds. Each bill has averaged only 80 minutes of congresses time. So, the house misses lunch every other week.
In return they get a section of the Health Care bill repealed once in awhile. Like the section repealed in the Cliff bill. Putting this the repeal Health care bill up doesn’t stop them for working on other things. It’s not a waste of time or an empty gesture.
“If the Republicans win every single Democratic Senate seat up for grabs in 2014, they will not succeed.”
Again, your being silly, unless you can see the future. Politics is strange. Of the economy tanks and the health care plan is to blame, no one knows what is going to happen.
Using 80 minutes of time isn’t going to stop them for getting work done.
Cable’s top (non sporting) show in the top 25, 24 Hours of a Christmas Story – 4885.
Broadcast’s lowest show in the top 25, America’s Funniest Home Videos – 5191.
Using Steve Perry logic cable TV is dying.
CNN only cable news show on the list. They had 3 shows.
Looks like Kathy Gr*ffin is a draw.
AppleStinx would rather be in the Twilight Zone than waiting for some other people’s ball to drop.
@Pippa
Person of Interest won it’s time slot.
I won’t mention it beat a show that’s cancelled & repeats.
@hillbilly
I predict no shows in the top 25 and no shows in the top 50.

You’re full of fudge. Apple really understands & follows the ratings more than any other poster here. Sorry, H.B.

I let him win the predictions.
@cathy
I would prefer Nobamacare be repealed. To be honest/fair the part that was repealed wasn’t going to be implemented. Not enough folks signed up for it. So even Nobama was for the repeal. It was a minor victory & it shows there could be more. As you say when the law starts hitting the middle class they’ll be screaming about the extra taxes. Will it be enough to repeal the whole law? I have no idea.

I predict you will be right again.
There’s an article on Yahoo about photoshopping in absent members from the D women’s caucus. I have no problem with them doing it. Whom ever did it they need to practice. The people added (the hard part) looks fine. The background (the easy part) is different colors.

“Bite Me” Biden is at it again
Boston Mayor Says Vice President ‘Guaranteed’ Him Obama Will Pass Major Gun Control Reform by End of January
Vice President Joe Biden “guaranteed” that President Barack Obama will pass sweeping gun control legislation by the end of January, according to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino.
“He said, ‘Tommy, I guarantee you, we’ll get it done by the end of January,’” Menino reportedly said at City Hall on Thursday. “They’re going to get it done.”
Menino, a leading gun control advocate, has been recovering from a myriad of health issues over the last two months, but said Biden has called him a number of times while he was in the hospital. One of the calls came after the Newtown, Conn. school shooting and concerned gun control, the Boston Herald reports.
