   Massachusetts finds itself unable to locate 19,000 welfare recipients

   plus

   Albany County welfare fraud arrests jump 23 percent in 2012

   that’s just one county.

   There are 4,300,000 million welfare recipients according to the US Department of Health and Human Services . Officials admit welfare fraud is about 3%. 3% is 129,000 people x $11,300= $1.458 billion not an insignificant amount of money .

   States vary in validation programs . Computer programs are available to cut the waste of welfare fraud. Why not take advantage of them?

   The Obama White House in 2011 paid female staffers 18 percent less than their male colleagues:

   According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).

   With Democrats in Congress and in the California state legislature pushing as much gun control as humanly possible, California gun sales are skyrocketing. Meanwhile, gun crime in the state is dropping dramatically.

   In 2002, 350,000 guns were sold in the state of California. By 2011, that number was 600,000. Last year, it jumped to 817,000, a single year increase of 36 percent.

   Did crime go up? Precisely the opposite. Since 2002, hospital visits due to injuries from gun wounds plummeted 28 percent. Gun deaths decreased 15 percent.

   But that doesn’t stop California’s sanctimonious liberals from pushing more gun control. “When I see that the sales go up, I don’t like that,” complained LAPD Chief Charlie Beck. “My officers have to face these guns on the street.”

   Fox continues to struggle in its ratings with the college bowl football game drawing audience from MSNBC, but even with this, Rachel and Lawrence did very well and so did Morning Joe, in the demo. Fox continues to attract a huge number of old audience with Billo….

    Demographics, as a percentage of their 18+ audience:

    A18-29:
    CNN – 21%
    FNC – 19%
    MSNBC – 16%

    Network evening news – 9%

    I thougt we already debunked Doug’s attempt to paint Obama as not being for women. that’s what the GOP did before the election and see where it got them. To say that Obama is not for women is like saying the Pope is not Catholic…. How many Repubs supported the Lily Ledbetter Act?????

    USA8888, pls back up your statement that the bowl football games drew from the MSNBC audience. Then back up your implied statement that the football games had no impact on Fox’s audience. Also in an effort to penetrate your little pea brain, O’Reilly had more young folks watching him than Rachel did by a large margin. You really are the scariest kind of ideologue– you will not allow facts to have any impact on your twisted view of the world. I guess it would be hard to take for you to discover all of your opinions are wrong.

    Cathy, sorry for calling up the demon of dumb but I was curious how he would spin a day of ratings that don’t meet his views. My bad!!!

    USA8888, who debunked Doug’s statements? Certainly not you because debunking can only be done with facts–like the women in the White House make less than the men. Saying ” well maybe that is because of the job they do ” is not debunking, it is a poor example of spin.

    Also and unfortunately the fiscal cliff deal was another episode of the government and Wall Street screwing the average Joe. At the end whether you vote Democrat or Republicans both will end up effing us.

    Sam it was the Democrats that put the pork into the fiscal cliff bill. But, I’m happy to see that Obama and the democrats are the great people that try to tell the world.

    It’s sad when even MSNBC calls Obama, democrats and Wall street the winners in the fiscal cliff. No one is saying the middle class won.

    Is it Obama is the president of the middle class, how can Obama win but not the middle class?

    The middle class won with obama’s fiscal cliff solution because it means the economy will not collapse as it would if the right wing had their say. There will be extension of unemployment benefits as well as more jobs. Of course, the Stock Market was up huge, so those with 401k’s made out like bandits. Now Cathy, DB, Doug and all right wingers would please help me convince the right wingers in the House to OK the new debt ceiling, that would be helpful also. Remember, the bulk of the debt was caused by Bush’s unfunded wars, unfunded tax cuts, and unfunded drug program, AND the financial disaster in 2008. I will point these right wing Congress people to a good university so they can fill their brains with 21st Century economics courses….Let me know……………..
