I like to see the day when the Super Bowl airs then TBBT after that. Monstrosity!

    @Melissa
Also, are you saying that The Big Bang Theory is growing in its last year, whereas Friends was falling later in its timeline? If so, that’s incorrect, because the latter show actually peaked in its eighth season.

Friends peaked during its second season, averaging 31.7 million viewers per episode.

Its eighth season only averaged 26.7 million viewers per episode, although that was enough to be the most watched show on TV.

    I meant ranking-wise; should’ve been more specific.

Without Sheldon, this show would be “The Big Theory” – Sheldon puts the BANG in Big Bang!

Insane #s for it! WTG TV’s #1 show! (imo, but others are bound to agree)

DAMN DAMN BBT is the biggest phenom since Friends. I want to ask all of how is CBS going to keep this on the air with how much they are going to have to pay them. I see everyone wanting between 500,000 to 750,000 an episode soon big money. CBS is going to have to pay a fortune to keep this on the air. CBS is making a fortune off this and now these stars will want BIG MONEY. How much do you think they will get? Also BTW can I say if Mayam Balik doesn’t win an emmy there is no justice on that show. Anyone agree with me Mayam is genius on BBT?

Congrats to The Big Bang Theory for reaching a new series high! I had predicted that it would reach 6.0 So its performance exceeded my expectation. It garnered more viewers than I thought it would as well. TAAHM did better as well but looks weak airing after BBT. I feel 2 Broke Girls would do better. CBS should move TAAHM back to Monday next season for its final year. Person of Interest did better than expected but Elementary performed just as I predicted it would. The Superbowl push may help the show garner another 2 million viewers regularly and that would be great for a 10pm show.

Two and a Half Men’s highest viewership during it’s 6th season was 17.92 million. And this was by far it’s highest rated episode this season. Since TBBT is in it’s 6th season and averaging 16.42 viewers (vs. TAAFM’s 15.12 6th season). So I assume it’ll got atleast 10 seasons.

Wow did not expect Elementary to adjust up. With numbers like that it looks like people actually WANT to watch Elementary and not just stuck there after POI. Elementary sucks and its sad cause I like Johnny Lee Miller

That picture wasn’t from last night’s episode of TBBT.

@Jonnysbro, I agree that Mayim Bialik should win the Emmy for best supporting actress. Her comedic timing is perfect, she brings such life to her character. I like how she is a great compliment to Sheldon. It is an iconic role that deserves high recognition. I feel her biggest competition would come from Sofia Vergara who I felt should of won last year. So far, this year belongs to Mayim.

Don’t forget that in the 90′s A18-49 represented more of the total viewership.
And of course don’t forget DVR numbers.

With the present demography Friends with 26 millions viewers hardly reacho above 9%.

@Kissan, good schedule. You just forgot that CBS needs to air new dramas. So I would put one on Wednesday @8pm. I would like to see Beverly Hills Cop starring Eddie Murphy in that timeslot. Survivor would move to Sunday Night. Then I would put a new drama after Person of Interest as well. The Mentalist would be on Friday @8pm. And then The Good Wife would be on @9pm. I get a feeling that CBS is going to cancel CSI:NY. But if they do bring it back I would have it share the 9pm timeslot with The Good Wife. Both getting a short season of 13-16 episodes. I would air CSI:NY in the Fall and then premiere The Good Wife in February.

TBBT I can see getting to a 6-plus with competition, honestly. It’s been a juggernaut this year. Surprised at Rock Center hitting that high (for it, anyway) as a repeat though.

I pegged Elementary at a 2.7, which is what it did last time when Scandal didn’t air new. I know that’s a fan excuse bingo thing, but it dropped back to a 2.1 or a 2.3 the next week, so I’m curious to see if it will hold this time — a lot of successful dramas had a slow build.

It has been said before in this thread but what the heck ,
    WOW , ON TBBT !
My only request , sharpen the scripts for Two and a Half Men , the show needs some better writing, but even for bad writing its pulling killer numbers ,
    also ,
Found myself watching POI for the 1st time last night

  • Melissa

Um, can we talk about how a rerun of Rock Center notched about the same rating that originals get?

  • Zach

Why are people calling BBT a ‘fresh’ or a ‘young’ show? its been on for six years making it neither of those things.

  • Melissa

CBS was very smart to air original programming tonight. ABC did this last year, and Grey’s Anatomy got a 4.5.

  • forg

2.5 Men boosted TBBT 3 seasons ago and now TBBT is returning the favor by keeping aging 2.5 Men solid enough to have more seasons.

When CBS moved TBBT to Thu, 8 PM I was disappointed because I wanted it to have the 9 pm slot so it could get 5s with higher HUT levels and during its first season on that slot it rarely got 5s but was in the 4s and even hit 3s but well, well 2 seasons after CBS is now reaping the fruits of their very risky but smart move

  • hole

CBS should’ve really taken advantage of the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl to boost a new comedy with BBT.

  • Fkave

    F— YEAH, Elementary!
