   OK, silvit, so my question is the same, is Castle doing fine for TNT or not?

   Considering that against full competition it was getting 0.2-0.3 in the demo just a few weeks ago (pre Christmas time), I’d wait to see how it will do when broadcast networks will air originals to weigh in.

   @No, it was getting O.2-0.3. In fact many times it wasn’t on this list and a guy on another site used to post the ratings since it was Castle’s TNT premieres.

   why do some people follow Castle rating in a desperate way if they hate that show? they are more obsessed with Castle’s ratings than castle’s producers, for sure!

   Because it’s easy to follow the ratings when they are published among all the others. It’s not rocket science. Just like it’s easy to know that a huge numbers of 18-49 watch Duck Dynasty. Even the repeats.

   American horror story’s ratings are defintely not what FX was hoping for but are still good. The bad thing is that the show premiered to a what 2.2 rating? And now it’s averaging a 1.2. While the first season premiered to like a 1.5 and actually maintained that number and even grew a little bit. Just goes to show you that this season people aren’t as interested. I do still believe though the show is still good just not as good as the first season.

   And the musical number in last nights episode was awesome! The first few episodes of this season weren’t that good but it’s definitely getting better now.

    LOL @ Silvit… Silvit is one of those Bones fans who hates Castle, so I wouldn’t put much weight behind his comments… As a fan of both shows, I don’t understand fans of either show who prowl the net just to pit their show against the other…

    As to Castle’s performance for TNT, I have followed TNT’s ratings since September and very few of its shows ever make the Cable top 100 each night. Only original TNT programming (R&I, Leverage, or Dallas) and Basketball rate highly. Of their syndicated shows, Castle is the only show that consistently places at least 3 of its airings each week in the top 100 for the night. The Mentalist does too, but it rates lower.

    LOL at your hyperdefensiveness… I actually can’t stand Bones -or at least the 3-4 episodes I watched, I couldn’t take it anymore-: the cheesy jingle music behind every scene, the cardboard man, the stupid psychology 101, the silly cases, the fake environment, the idiotic will they/won’t they -well, when there still was that- and most of all, I find the title character annoying. She should just shut up.
    How is that for a fan of the show? Now I expect insults from the Bones’ fans.

    Dallas wasn’t even on in September. L&O always make the list on Sunday with good ratings considering that the episodes have aired dozen of times. Bones doesn’t air in primetime, much like CSI:NY. You can’t compare the two. Still, Bones many times made the list for its afternoon airing. The only shows which air in primetime are Castle and The Mentalist. The Mentalist always underperformed for TNT. Castle wasn’t doing any better prior to the Christmas break. We’ll see how it will do in a few weeks. Many cable shows got a bump in these holiday weeks.

    By the way, I’ve been following TNT ratings for years so I know what I’m talking about. They always get worse year after year, barring NBA

    If anyone needs a translation of @rachell’s ratings, Hot In Cleveland got a 0.3 and Happily Divorced got a 0.2.

    some people think they know everything about everything. they are so arrogant that they think their opinions are important and their presumption and hatred toward certain tv show (Castle), leaves them so blind that they can not perceive the reality.

    Castle is doing good for TNT for another week. That is why they are airing Castle on Tuesday and Wednesday nights now. They must like how it is doing for them or they would have not given it another night now.

    Even The Mentalist expanded to two days a week and the show is certainly underperforming.

    Don’t read much into it. They aired Leverage in October/November/December after the good rated Supernatural and they still canceled it. You are giving TNT too much credit and logic, something that TNT lacks -see the choice of airing their shows, two light crimes, on Christmas night. Who doesn’t want to watch a crime on Christmas day? Not to mention that they did the same last year with Leverage and the ratings didn’t turn out to be that good.
