Fox News Channel Ends 2012 With Top Ratings for 11th Straight Year
While the arrival of 2013 rang in a happy new year, it also brought in happy ratings for the Fox News Channel, which continued to dominate the cable news channel race in total viewers and the Adult 24-54 demographic for the 11th consecutive year.
According to a news release from FNC, Nielsen Media Research found that the network completed the previous 12 months with the top 11 programs in total viewers. Demonstrating the network’s dominance is the fact that the evening audience for Fox News topped the ratings of CNN, MSNBC and CNN combined with an average of 2,071,000, up 11 percent.
Among all basic cable networks, Fox News Channel ranked third in prime time viewers, trailing only USA Network and ESPN while easily bypassing both MSNBC and CNN, which came in 19th and 29th, respectively.
During 2012, the Fox News prime time line-up attracted 2.043 million total viewers and 423,000 in the 24-54 demographic, while the daytime programs had an average of 1.152 million total views and 273,000 in the important age demographic.

Hi ,all !
Sh#t! I keep missing Sunshine.
Thanks, Sunshine . There were just so many posters for a while who were pretty nasty , that I took a well needed TVBTN’s vacation.

Having filter problems with more than the word ab*ortion so sorry for being so cryptic.
I’ve gone through an epiphany of sorts ,over the years ,from being pro ch*ice to being pro l*fe, in most cases . This comes to mind now because Kate Middleton’s(UK) pregnancy is always referred to her baby , never her fet*s.
This seems to apply to the law, too. Currently, at least 38 states have fet*l homicide laws. The states include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. At least 23 states have fet*l homicide laws that apply to the earliest stages of pregnancy .
It just doesn’t seem to be consistent that one is against the law & the other isn’t , even though it is the body owner that is making the decision. Is one more moral than the other ?
I am not aligned with any pro life group , but, I ponder using ab*rtion almost like toilet paper, & having our government give P.P. 45% of their funds. I know Obama said to go there for mammograms. Sorry Mr. President ,they don’t do them. Plus, contr*ceptive services at P.P. have dropped by 12 percent since 2009, and cancer screening & prevention services have dropped by 29 percent
In its latest annual report for fiscal year 2011 to 2012, P.P. reveals that it performed 333,964 ab*rtions in 2011 – a record year for the organization.
According to annual reports, the organization performed 332,278 ab*rtions in 2009, 329,445 in 2010, making the total number of ab*rtions in three years to 995,687.
P.P. reported receiving a record $542 million in taxpayer funding, according to a Susan B. Anthony List
good morning everybody.
Fox “News” ratings continue their slide led by Greta and Hannity, while MSNBC’s ratings are increasing. This occuring in the demo. One hypothesis for the decline is that the same tired right wingers are being continually interviewed on these shows and these interviewees have become boring (e.g., Morris and Rove). Billo’s ratings are held up by a plethora of older viewers. Bill’s customary procedure to trot out middle aged women and position them as “sex symbols” as he condescendingly asks them questions. Fox had been blowing everyone out but this all changed in late summer last year just before the elections in which the dems hammered the repubs in the presidential contest as well as in the Senate and House contests. The slide has no doubt caught the attention of Rupert and Roger and there may be changes in the offing…
@ usa8888
Must be the flu medication…………..or something!
You really do not have a clue do you! First off 51% of the vote is not the dems HAMMERING the right, and the R’s still have the house majority and were never gaurenteed a majority in the senate………….ah never mind it is just a waste of time trying to educate the unteachable!
Cant fix Stupid!
Ooops- I just did a long post and used the word a$%&tion. Wonder why that word is filtered and others aren’t? Oh well—Here I go again–dd I have evolved also. I am always frustrated when the left call it women’s right as opposed to a8876562n as if all women believe in it. Just as NOW pretends it speaks for all women. I have no problem with the left calling it what it is but that shines a light on the barbaric nature of the process.
Letmethink,
I believe I had to abbreviate to P.P. to get past the filter, but, at least saved my post so I didn’t have to retype everything over again.

Yawn………………
It’s pretty apparent usa4 8’s lives on the newscorpse website where they probably even tuck him in at night. I guess I’m going to have to relegate him to Mark2’s list as not to be read.
