Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

LOL revenge is a hit international show now. Theres no need to worry. It will surely have full 4 seasons at least for syndication.

  • Maximillian

Not ready to give up on Revenge. Most people havent watched TV the last month, I didn’t even know it was on last night (thought it started next week). Call it an excuse, but I am more curious about next weeks ratings then this weeks.

  • Maximillian

@AA – you nailed it. It will get a third season (it is well above ABC’s very sad average ratings this moment), and a 3rd season = almost always guaranteed 4th season for stripped syndication. Besides, I can see many networks wanting to buy this show — Oxygen, Lifetime, Logo, Style Network, etc.

  • Rebecca

OUAT was okay, but I’m looking forward to next week’s episode more (looks good). I’m prepared to bid farewell to HE and A23 at the end of this season…not expecting them to come back. Maybe ABC has other plans for their Tuesday time slots in the future, could be why they’re apparently being burned off. Looking forward to tonight’s Castle.

  • Brian

So happy The Mentalist is up , given it’s horrible new time slot..so nice, how after 5 seasons of being such a huge hit for the Idiots on CBS , they throw it under the bus, just to give that stupid Elementary a place on the schedule ….Hopefully Mentalist will keep on growing!

  • GG

Btw, for Scandal fans who are lol’ing at revenge. Didn’t Scandal drop from 2.8 demo to 2.4 demo in just one night? lol

  • GH

Glad to see The Mentalist do better, but I gotta say, CBS’s time schedule is really killing this show.

  • lola

DO NOT WANT SCANDAL airing on Sunday at 10pm
Revenge is an awful lead in

    Emily Van Camp can’t act

  • Dan

    And the burnoff begins

  • HT

The Good Wife does great with actual viewing figures, just not in the demo. Hope CBS keep it. It’s intelligent and gripping, well acted, well written.

  • mbmd

    No ONCE whyyyy?

  • frodo

    @ LOLA

Well she is much better than anyone on Scandal, that show is full of terrible actors, Kerry Washington is the black Megan Fox, she should be doing commercials. Thank God for Henry Ian Cusick.

  • Michael

I LOOOOOOOOVE Happy Endings and want it to survive more than anyone. That being said, I think it’s time to realize that the show only has an audience with a MODERN FAMILY lead in. No matter where else ABC puts it, it flops.

  • lola

Henry ian Cusick was an ungrateful B! and he got fired
Revenge is such a bad soap

  • Melanie

Good to see the Mentalist up — with football ending the scrambled start times, I would hope to see it continue to do well. It will make it a bit more of a horse race to see what shows are renewed by CBS. Right now, I’d say Mentalist over TGW.

  • frodo

If Revenge is a bad soap than Scandal is utter garbage, thank god Henry Ian Cusick is no longer on that show, I mean from LOST to Scandal that must be depressing!!!! He is far too good of an actor to be on a Shonda Rhimes reject show that was probably concieved while she was on the toilet!!!

  • DryedMangoez

Good numbers for The Biggest Loser. I remember when it’d hold strong numbers against Idol on Tuesdays.

  • joy

Max returns with return of revenge after hibernation with his big mouth and know-it-all attitude!!! Now i’m convinced that scandal doesn’t mean anything 2 u,u just want revenge’s demise.Sorry 2 say psycho, that ain’t gonna happen!!

  • frodo

and by the way I really enjoy Revenge and it is a good show IMO but if I want a really top notch intelligent show than I also watch Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Homeland but would never stoop as low as to watch Scandal that is drivel!

  • Grey

I watched “Dowton Abbey” from 9-11PM. I’m wondering how PBS’s numbers will match up to all of this in the final numbers.
