4Q 2012: “Good Morning America Saturday”

For 4Q12, “Good Morning America Saturday” delivered 3.525 million Total Viewers and 1.233 million Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd quarter in a row, “GMA Saturday” ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 and won the 4th quarter for the first time ever in the key adult news demo. “GMA Saturday” debuted in its current format in September 2004.

“GMA Saturday” improved on the previous quarter (3.285 million and 1.146 million on 3Q12) by +7% in Total Viewer and by +8% in Adults 25-54. “GMA Saturday” delivered its most-watched quarter ever.

For the 2nd year in a row, “GMA Saturday” built on the year-ago 4th quarter (3.313 million and 1.206 million for 4Q11) in both Total Viewers (+6%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%). In addition, “GMA Saturday” was the only Saturday morning network program to improve on the year-ago quarter as both CBS’ “Saturday Early Show” (-1%/-2%) and NBC’s “Saturday Today” (-1%/-6%) each saw losses.

“GMA Saturday” led CBS’ “Saturday Early Show” by its largest-ever advantages in both Total Viewer margin (1.756 million) and Adults 25-54 (592,000) during any quarter.

4Q 2012: “Good Morning America Sunday”

For the 4th Quarter 2012, “Good Morning America Sunday” attracted 3.151 million Total Viewers and 1.032 million Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. The ABC morning newscast saw gains over the previous quarter (2.915 million and 972,000 on 3Q12) in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+6%) for the 2nd quarter in a row. In fact, “GMA Sunday” drew its most-watched quarter ever since debuting in its current format in September 2004.

“GMA Sunday” ran neck-and-neck with NBC’s “Sunday Today” (3.185 million and 1.054 million, respectively) as only 34,000 Total Viewers and 22,000 Adults 25-54 viewers separated the two programs during 4Q12.
