I’m not one to question the rating but I’m starting to wonder why shows that had such tough half hour dips (Revenge this week—Elementary last week) are seeing adjustments up? It doesn’t make much sense, if anything, they should be adjusted down and how could Revenge gain in the viewers when I saw their half hours and it was below 7 million? I would think they either lost views in the final or remained at the 7 million.

Yeah, what’s going on as of lately? Final numbers taking longer than usual and some shows are seeing upward adjustments that don’t make much sense to me. Either way, it’s flat with the Fall Finale so that is good but I most definitely think it should have remained with that 2.3 since the half hour with 2.5 and 2.1.

I’m still shocked over how badly Happy Endings rated… they might as well finish off those 666 Park Avenue episodes at this point.

“Family Guy” adjusted UP? Oh my God, that’s amazing. I’m glad “American Dad!” remained steady. I wish “The Simpsons” hadn’t been adjusted down, though, but that was predictable because of the football overrun. Still, a 4.2 is a wonderful result. What really amazes me is that “Bob’s Burgers” tied “Once Upon a Time”. Incredible. Animation domination indeed.

Apparently our FOX affiliate showed a cop show after the post game show, because The Simpsons wasn’t there. It’s no surprise that the ratings dropped. It’s just as well since the post game show ran over 3 minutes.

First, the ovverrun was because Fox aired an extended preview of that new Kevin Bacon show.

Second, IMO, the higher ratings for Animation Domination were beacuse there was no SNF.

Your opinion is a very uninformed one, then. Next time, I suggest you take a look at FOX’s Animation Domination ratings from previous seasons first.

The numbers were because of the NFL playoff lead-in. Those shows will not have numbers anywhere close to that for the remainder of the season, even with no Sunday Night Football.

You cannot predict adjustments in the finals based off of fast national half hour ratings – stop trying to.

Seriously? We just had two major holidays…

once upon a time and revenge are amazing!

    Ultima,

I’m just saying—there was once a time when you can basically predict what would be adjusted up and down based on half hours. Revenge sees huge dips in the half hours but adjusted up in the finals? I can’t really understand it much but I suppose it is correct. Either way, the number is definitely not up to Revenges par. If the ratings are any indication of next weeks episode, I don’t see them staying above 7 million and in the higher 2.0’s.

New Years was 7 days ago and Christmas was damn near two weeks ago. It doesn’t make sense for Final rating to becoming out the next day instead of later on in the day like they used. Either the system is becoming less reliable (thus taking longer to finalized numbers) or something else is happening. It’s 4pm now and I’m wonder when final ratings for Monday are coming out.

Wow at The Biggest Loser. I wonder if Celebrity Apprentice can go back to pulling 3.0s with its all-star edition. Does anyone know if NBC has put it back to 2 hours?

    Go Family Guy !

I think ABC just saved the mentalist lol

  • rob60990

Revenge runs until 10:01 so that has a lot to do with adjustments. That shows how much ABC cares about the show that it gets an extra minute of advertising. ABC cuts 2 minutes of ads during Scandal.

The Sunday finals always come out on Tuesday morning. Things are getting back to normal now.

13.4 for football. Remember when Desperate Housewives pulled that same number for its season one finale in 2005?

Dead at Max. Lmfao. This poor soul is living on his computer. Get out and get some social life.

No, you may have been better at guessing in the past, but it’s impossible to accurately predict adjustments based on half hour ratings.

Sunday finals never come out on Monday, it’s usually Tuesday morning.

Around 5pm ET/2pm PT, just like usual.

It’s currently scheduled for two hours the first month (9-11pm) and then one hour for the next two (10-11pm).

  • Ryan

Max doesn’t post on the finals.

  • Nick

Thanks @Utima. Guessing it’ll stay 2 hours the entire run, now that Fashion Star is on Fridays.

Wish people would realize Max is just someone at TVBTN trying to up the page views.

  • Bookworm

    @Rob60990

I’m pretty sure that has nothing to do with it since if I’m correct, a lot of other shows don’t run over. Revenge is a good show but I stand with Max when I say that it’s not very reliable in ratings for a long period of time, it takes hits and can dip low before barely edging out. I don’t see it getting any better because, as I said, the half hours are a mess and honestly, the show is losing its focus. I doubt it will be in the high 1.0’s but I won’t be shocked if we see it hanging around the low 2.0’s from here on out.

Revenge is safe. Just deal with it people. lol

Oh for crying out loud…Max is an employee of this website, goosing the comments to increase the page views. How many times does it need to be said?! “Max” is Bill, Robert, or one of their cronies. That’s why he always posts first and riles you all up. Ignore his idiocy!

Glad to see “Once Upon a Time” and “Revenge” come back so strong, though I am starting to agree with the people who are saying that “Revenge” is getting very convoluted and difficult to follow. It’s time to simplify the story! Either way, both shows are guaranteed third season renewals at this point :)

As for “Happy Endings” and “B in Apt 23,” it is clear ABC is just burning off all the episdoes they’ve produced of both shows to get rid of them faster before they cancel them. Sayonara!
