    Gooooooooooood Morning Everyone

    @Sam
    Morning? :-)

    @d.d.
    Silly ole me, When I first started using the spiral bulbs years ago and they claimed to last around 7 years, I marked the install date on them just to see, on average they last 2 years at best. So where’s the truth in advertising group?

    Flooding rains and storms here today, On January 17th of last year we had a deadly outbreak of Tornado’s. Henryville had 40 people Killed and the town was destroyed. Praying there is not a repeat.

    @DD Yes your government just making rules and laws without thinking what the real effects will be. Should be all new laws and regulations have a 1 year probation peroid , after that the law or regulation is review to see what the true cost is , was it effective, did it solve the problem or did it create more probelms and cost. If the law or regulations fails on these guidelines it’s automatically rescinded.

    Gooood Morning!

    I used a spiral bulb in a trac fixture in my office (trying to do the right thing) but it was faulty and almost started a fire! the base of those bulbs have a bunch of extra conections and starters and whatever and if they are faulty they get very very very hot and can start a shade or fabric on fire! It got so hot in the fixture that it bubbled the paing inside! When it comes to light bulbs, I am not trying to do the right thing anymore!

    Many of the retailers here have or are going to do the same thing. There are restaurant chains that have multiple managers that are in fact cutting the manager hours back also to reduce the insurance liability. They may not take away the insurance but it reduces the number of full time employees on the books.

    Like the way you dispeared Soupy when the survey you crowed about a month or so ago proved to be a fake. You took off like a scalded *ss ape.

  • Raz

    Coffee, you might wanna give up the diet soda, if you get a lot of head aches, that stuff is likely the cause. Artifial sweeteners are migraine triggers and they actually make you more hungry, so you are eating more.

  • Coffee Steve

    @Raz
    Gooooooood Morning

    I don’t get any headaches and to be honest my Coke Zero intake is about maybe 2-3 a week. Never been a big soda pop drinker.

    Future Trivia Question and Answer

    *On Sunday, January 20, President Obama officially will be sworn into his second term, taking the oath of office with his hand on a Bible belonging to his wife’s family.

    The next day, when he takes the oath a second time as part of public inaugural ceremonies at the U.S. Capitol, Obama will place his hand on two Bibles, one stacked on the other. One of the Bibles, which belonged to President Lincoln, Obama used in 2009. The other belonged to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Obama is being sworn in on the federal holiday devoted to King.

    Side Note: My Youngest Sister shares her Birthday with Dr. King, she ask me all the time, how come no one ever remembers my Birthday? :-)

    ————–

    Not so fast. The IRS has already changed the rules.

    “100 half-time employees are considered equivalent to 50 full-time employees. Thus, the government said, an employer will be subject to the new requirement if it has 40 full-time employees working 30 hours a week and 20 half-time employees working 15 hours a week.”

    Raz wrote: “…Artifial sweeteners are migraine triggers and they actually make you more hungry, so you are eating more.”

    A sister-in-law and another good friend of mine have had headaches for a long time and their doctor ran all kinds of test and found nothing wrong. They both made almost exclusive use of an artificial sweetener – I forgot which one – so I suggested they look into it. Years later, they still have headaches and still use the same sweetener. All for lower calorie consumption and avoid exercising.

    Who is “Soupy”?

    Republicans celebrating the increase of unemployment claims right after the new year……
