The BCS Championship dominated Monday's cable ratings, with The Game earning a monster 9.2 at 8:25 PM. Monday Night RAW was again the top non-sports programming with a 1.8, up half a ratings point from last week's 1.2 rating.

VH1 is not having a good premiere season with MOB Wives (1.8 million), Making Mr. Right (347,000), and Love and Hip-Hop season 3 should have done a better premier number then (2.6 million) especially being the spin-off LHHATL was averaging 3.0 and higher.
BRAVO is doing their thing with their “Real Housewives of Atlanta” franchise and “Shahs of Sunset” on Sunday nights. And are having a steady night on Mondays with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Vanderpump Rules”.
I’m interested to see how MTV will do with Washington Heights and how TLC will do with their new urban program shows “Totally T-boz”, “The Sisterhood”, and “Starter Wives” which is basically a knock-off of VH-1′s “Hollywood Exes”.
I am glad that the new Bravo show VANDERPUMP RULES did so poorly. I watched out of curiosity and it was one of the worst shows I have ever seen . . .
The first of episode of Vanderpump Rules was Bravo’s best launch of a show ever so I don’t understand this statement
I had a lot of theories about why Bunheads wasn’t receiving higher ratings. BCS Bowl, Olympics, etc. But, the better answer seems to be that the subject matter simply doesn’t appeal to a wider audience. Monday’s episode was supposed to have been keenly anticipated because of the sad note on which show ended last fall. Instead, Bunheads dropped 0.1 in the demo and lost 27 MM viewers over its previous episode. I’d say that’s pretty definitive. The reason Bunheads received a small back order instead being renewed is because of its ratings. Since there’s no evidence to suggest that Bunheads will ever draw more than the occasional 0.6, I don’t see any compelling reason for ABC Family to renew it.

Bunheads will go the way of Jane By Design I’m afraid. I appreciate ABC Family giving their shows a chance but if something ain’t working you just gotta let it go.
I expect them to announce a series order for one their Switched at Birth compatible pilots soon to air in summer or fall.

Obviously The Rock got the Raw ratings back up.
I would really like to see TNA revisit Mondays especially while the WWE is so bad. Mondays are a wrestling night so TNA needs to be on wrestling night. They’ll score real low starting out then overtime they can build up an audience and make a loud noise like Nitro did and shakeup the ratings wars.
And ABC Family is young and female skewing so I doubt football had anything to do with these ratings.

In 2 weeks ABC Family annpunce there pilot pickups to series for Summer launch. The Fosters, Terminales and Socio….they’ll pick at least two.
ONE of the currently airing crop has to go, either The Lying Game or Bunheads…based on info right now bunheads is the axed show, if you read some of the recent interviews by ASP she talks alot about budget, money….someone here last Summer posted comments about how Bunheads was going over budget each episode compared to Jane By Design….that info seems correct now.
Budget is big for ABCF, you can’t have a loose cannon going over each week, coupled with the 0.5 which seems to be the norm now for Bunheads and 1.25m viewers…..i think these 8 episodes are a tester for Bunheads.
It *needs* a 0.6 and 1.5m imo to survive, they have another two eps. before the pilot pickups….i think ABCF will have a decision by then.
It all depends on how TLG does today in ratings results and how much retention it holds out of PLL.
S@B will ok, what i expected….but it cant afford to fall any more.

My bet is that both TLG and Bunheads are axed. Socio and The Fosters will be the pickups because they are good companions for PLL and Switched at Birth. Terminales has no buzz and ABC Family is not involved with its production but it could still be given the ok and air at a later date(fall or winter).
They can’t keep putting shows after S@B. I’m sorry, But it’s not working. First JBD and now Bunheads. Switched At Birth is good for itself, it get’s good ratings for itself.
They also need to stop putting TLG After PLL. They tried, remember? It didn’t work out too well. It almost got cancelled.
On a side note, I watch all four of these shows and two of the four disappointed me. Season 1A Of Bunheads was simply amazing. The first episode of 1B was just disappointing. I think things will pick up next week. I hope the ratings reflect the (hopefully) great upcoming episodes.
The Lying Game has disappointed me a lot in the last few episodes. (Including Season 1B) The first episode of Season 2 was bad. The acting has really went down a notch. Was it just me? And the ‘drama’ was a beyond fail. I don’t hate the show, I just thought that it would improve a little.
Pretty Little Liars and Switched at Birth were really good. I watch all shows on this channel. I don’t want to see Bunheads, S@B, Melissa and Joey Or PLL Go.

Actually, TLG did much better the second time around when it was paired with PLL than in its first installment. It’s just not a great show. But given this lineup right now, the Sara Shepard adaptations being on the same night is a better combo. Bunheads would be ridiculously out of place after PLL
In the Fall they can get away with having only one original show but in the Winter they always have 4. They can’t put S@B by itself, and Bunheads would do even worse if it didn’t have a lead in. I’m sure Bunheads won’t get a second season and it would surprise me if TLG gets a backorder but we’ll see. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is not the right network for Bunheads.
Wow, Raw did oustanding if you look at it’s competition. The BCS Championship scored a 9.2…ON CABLE. Good for WWE ( or The Rock ) & unbelievable for ESPN.

Cat fish beating tten Mom 2 by alot ow! Switched at Birth did good for its second season start. Bunheads not so much. I to was hoping for a .6 for that show too.
I don’t see how ABCF can pick up Socio after the Newtown massacres.
Bunheads will get the edge over Lying Game if ratings are same because of critics and awards attention.

I guess that settles it. I think it’s funny someone thinks Lying Game needs a better lead in – it’s by far the best one on the network from a book by the same author – you can’t do better than that. Also didn’t it have another lead in at one time?

Yes, When TLG first premiered its first 2 episodes were lead in by Secret Life – which at that time was still pulling over a 1.0/2 million viewers every episode. Fans can blame it on everything possible but it’s just not a good show.
