   .7 & 1.552 million for The Lying Game

   In W18-34, PLL got a 3.5. TLG got a 1.6.

   **Ah, well. Hardly buzz. It reminds me of when the other association was making a big deal over The Playboy Club. And we know that people didn’t give a crap about The Playboy Club.***

   I didn’t say it was a big deal or that it meant big ratings but someone asked what publicity TF had been generating so I answered.

   Eh, who can tell. There were people swearing PLL had 1 season’s worth of storyline in it and it’s still going strong. I presume TF pilot sets out a plotline beyond “foster kids with two moms” in the pilot just as S@B did. Or it might be terrible and boring not picked up. I think it’s possible ABCFamily might decide to pick up all 3, they did that in 2011 and they only had Bunheads as a new drama for 2012.

   Moreover, it sounds bland and cheesy. If not totally unrealistic since in no way adoptions are so easy, especially for gay women. This is sci-fi.

   This is the network that aired The Secret Life for five seasons. Are you expecting realism and groundbreaking or…

   The Lying Game did better than I thought it would but it scored high last winter then ended on a whimper with PLL as it’s lead-in so only time will tell.

   .7 was bad for TLG it be back to .5 when PLL drops to 1.0 which is its normal numbers.

   Decent for TLG despite the high lead in. I say it will for sure get a renewal for the completion of Season 2. Then who knows what happens. But let’s hope it stays at a .7 or goes up.

   On the ABC family development side. Socio seems like a sure fire hit. I don’t see how Sandy Hook has any bearing on the show’s prospects. He’s a suspected killer. PLL, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, The Following, every CSI cop or lawyer shows deals with killers/ rapists/ criminals all the time. Socio is not set at a elementary school where a teacher goes psycho. I hope they pick it up because it sound great!

   The fosters sounds boring but could be a perfect match with switched at birth.

   I’ve heard nothing about Terminals other than the plot.

   The byline for Socio is misleading….there is no way ABCF would greenlit that, no matter Sandy Hook or not. I’d say that description was a very early draft and has been hugely tweaked.

   It’ll be a PLL type show based around the Toby type character….dark and mysterious, brooding bad boy with his hot female friends tryna figure his past out etc.

   0.7 is good for TLG….but it’ll surely drop to a 0.5 next week. PLL is normally at 1.0-1.2

    No, I don’t expect that. At all. On tv in general. But since somebody brought up the groundbreaking thing and the theme as a factor, I just made them notice that being the premise so far out of reality it can only be a cheesy soap and nothing more. They can’t certainly weigh in on the social aspects.

    The 0.7 is very good for all viewers but their demos are really really good and isn’t that what’s important.

    In its Season 2 launch, “The Lying Game” delivered the series’ biggest season opener to date in Adults 18-34 (649,000/1.0 rating), Women 18-34 (536,000/1.6 rating) and Women 18-49 (673,000/1.1 rating), standing as cable TV’s #1 telecast in the hour in Women 18-34, as well as Females 12-34 (957,000/2.1 rating).

    It makes me wonder, what The Lying Game would rate without PLL? Lol, 0.7 is really nothing to brag about with a strong lead-in.

    TLG premiered with a 0.5/1.5 million viewers. It premiered after Secret Life which that night had a 1.0/2.5 million viewers. Its first 3 episodes all followed Secret Life which at the time was pulling 1.0 or higher every episode. It took over Secret Life’s time slot on its 4th week but the ratings did not improve at all for the remainder of the season. Basically, it needs PLL to even get as high as 0.7.

    The Lying Game loses half of PLL demo and more than half of its Audience and people praise it for doing well? No. Just no.

    PLL is one of my guilty enjoyments. So the ratings are A-mazing! The Lying Game was gone for so long people prolly forgot about it.

    yes just yes. It’s got good demos. Has any other show that’s had PLL as it’s lead in retained PLL number.

    I think TLG is going to do just fine and will get there Season 2B

    Dear Haters,TLG is the only show that can do ok behind PLL.Has Nine lives of chloe or Jane by design hit higher than TLG?i think no so be quiet haters.Those are the only two that PLL lead in for and it’s not going anywhere
