Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

First: On NBC, the season premiere of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers garnered a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating down 16% from a 1.8 for its regular time period premiere on April 3 and down 46% from a 2.6 for its special January preview on January 16, 2012
If you can predict next weeks ratings, i’d like you to predict the Mrga Millions numbers for me.
Second: Betty White ahs shown 2 weeks running that her ratings go up the later in the night she’s on, so move her to 9pm and put GOON and TNN during the 8pm hour.
I strongly demand NBC to produce Monica and Chandler. This will bring NBC to the top channel!! Without the office, NBC sitcoms are all blow 2.0…Please!!
Give the couple as much as you can like 2andhalfman.
Good, the pervert show is goin’ down!!!!!
NBC is clearly staring right into their future. Multi-cam block of comedies and they can start it this season by swapping Whitney/GWK with Go On/The New Failure.
What is this nonsense about “people thought Go On was a repeat?” I barely watch NBC and I saw that auto-tuned Bob Costas promo so many times I got sick of it.
Wow Go On and the New Normal did not very good last night. Parent Hood did good as allways.
I was a big new girl fan but this season i havent watched it cause I think Zooey’s quirkiness gets old really fast; even though she’s so cute.
Lol the Whitney/Guys with Kids fans are looking pretty confident today. That’ll change when both shows are back to 1.3s tomorrow morning.
Great for NCIS & Parenthood
I know in terms of renewals etc it doesn’t matter but its lincredible that a show in this day and age and in its 10th season is getting over 20 mill.
Sad Betty couldn’t help Go On. But yay Parenthood!
ABC needs to do something about Tuesdays. What a mess. Private is ending so they need a replacement there but good luck to them launching a new show from the dreadful ratings of Happy Endings and Apt. 23. They should look to cancel both and bring on a whole new night of shows. I can’t see it doing much worse than what is there now.
Cheers to my good friend Betty for leading the night off well, and outperforming those young whippersnappers on Go On and The New Normal. I daresay Betty does not come cheap, but the low budget for the rest of the show makes it more inexpensive than the majority of the primetime lineup.
Raising Hope’s second season = New Girl’s second season.
I think New Girl’s fate will be similar to what many are expecting for Raising Hope which is 4 seasons for syndication and then…
Go Guys with Kids!!!! May the renewal gods be good to this best show on TV today!
Move Whitney & Guys With Kids to Tuesday will do nothing. It’s rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Guys do you really really think that people even know what multi-cam and what single-cam is? And do you really really think that people when watch one comedy know is single or multi cam or they watch with idea is funny or not? I mean come on………who cares?
New Girl’s viewers are low and the demo still flat.
And Parenthood still pretty strong for NBC. It did as well as Castle did last night on ABC with a way worse lead in.
Are those Private Practice numbers for real? Was it a repeat or something? Oh god how it’s fallen to horrible lows this season.
the fact that the genius in charge over at nbc couldn’t give a full confirmation on a parenthood renewal is probably indicative of why the net is such a mess. parenthood has a loyal audience and nbc can’t say that about half its lineup.
speaking of, i have grown to really like new normal. but if it keeps putting up numbers like this………
private practice was good last night. i’ll miss it but its time has come.
i can’t believe apt 23 is going to die, but the neighbors isn’t. i mean, i can, but i’ll miss it.
@Ted Craig THis very site (tvbythenumbers) had Go On and TNN as repeats last night. And I’m sure it’s not the only site. Even in the pre-made write up, Sara didn’t even include them because usually re-run episodes are not listed in the write up, and are only found on the chart below. So yes, many people thought they were repeats, including the employees of this very website.
