When history is written, the war Busch lead they might not even write about. To small and not great out come that effected the writers.

I should add. Do we in the U.S. care less for our children than the people of China care for theirs?

You are right. Maybe they will write history, not us. Who knows. But someday the writers will not be us. Just like all the others.

  • Jeff

@cathy, Colubine has armed security……Virginia has their own police…….Ft. Hood, was a military base.

Although I wish your comment about guards was the solution, but in these events it seems security guards are not the solution.

  • Doug Z

Jeff you are right. One can not stop crazy.

    Cable 18-49 demo numbers:

    Jon Stewart = 700,000 viewers

    Colbert = 500,000 viewers

    O’Reilly = 200,000 viewers

That future is bright for the Democrats.

    *****************************
First, O’Reilly had 492,000 viewers in the key demo, not 200,000. He basically tied Colbert. Second, you’re comparing apples and oranges, because you are comparing two comedians to a news figure…

By using your same formula, Tim Allen’s show, Last Man Standing, in which Tim Allen’s character portraying a conservative male got 1,770,000 in the key demo, while rachel Maddow only got 268,000…so by your argument, conservatives are crushing the heck out of liberals….

  • Hillbilly

Jack Lew signs his name like Doug Z’s dragon types. ;) See what your signature would look like if Lew wrote it.

    Source.

  • Hillbilly

What our paper money would look like if Lew is confirmed.

I’m guessing the man can write it better. I have no idea why he writes it the way he does. Be interesting to see if he changes it if confirmed.

  • Hillbilly

Now tell me how anybody should just these folks.

Guidance on the use and interpretation of our long-range predictions.

They got every outcome covered. Then say 50% doesn’t mean that much & the 20% could happen as well. They can’t lose no matter what they predict.

  • Hillbilly

Insert link to Wednesday’s cable ratings _____. I see AppleStinx already posted it.

Finally somebody is back on the list. :) It was Bill O.

Moonshiners & Amish Mafia the top 2 shows. Hillbillies rule.

  • Hillbilly

Fox News number 1 cable news network in prime time & total day viewers. In fact only cable news network in both categories. :)

It’s not letting me post a reply to jeff.

Matthew – You may not be aware of this, but the 2012 droughts were amongst the worst natural financial disasters in U.S. history. I say you might not be aware of this, because the cost isn’t obvious in the way that things like Sandy are. Nevertheless, the damage is there, both in the agricultural industry, and in your grocery bill.

    ————————————-

You nor anybody else can say the drought, Sandy, lack of hurricanes making land fall in the USA etc are tied to global warming. There’s always been weather extremes & I’m guessing there always will be.

A year to year difference in global temperatures of 0.2 is significant. A trend over 5 years of +0.4 is significant. Stretch this out over the next 100 years, and it’s a problem.

Yea a problem if it continues for 100 years. So far nobody has proven they can predict 10 or 20 let alone a 100 years. The models which these predictions rely on have been proven wrong time after time. I like how you have a 5 year trend & have repeatedly used a decade trend in your defense/support of the GW theory, yet disregard a decade or more as a trend when it cuts the other way. Can’t have it both ways.

  • cathy

    Jeff
Columbine did not have a security guard.

  • Hillbilly

One Pielke ain’t enough you need two.

    The handy B*llsh*t Button.

FYI He’s not the only one to say you can’t tie extreme weather to GW. Nature (they review & publish papers on GW) also says you can’t link GW to extreme weather events.

I find it funny when folks (GW supporters) say weather is not climate if somebody says it snowed early or whatever. Then turn around & say Sandy or the drought are do to GW.

  • Hillbilly

AppleStinx – I hope you’re not sad because you and Hillbilly both got your predictions wrong. These things happen; nobody notices. :(

    ——————————————

My prediction is for the weekly top 25, not the daily cable ratings.

I still got until Tuesday before i can be proven wrong. Double —>

    deputy

  • cathy

    Jeff
Columbine did not have a security guard. There happened to be a deputy on site. He traded fire (that is, he drew fire) with Harris for an extended period of time, during which Harris’s gun jammed. The deputy and the backup he immediately called for, exchanged fire with the shooters a second time and helped begin the evacuation of students, all before the SWAT teams and the rest of the cavalry arrived. This duty saved many students’ lives.

It is a liberal lie that Columbine has security guards on duty and guarding the entry to the school.

Virginia tech did not have guards at the entry to their buildings. Your statement that they have a police force, is like saying Sandy Hook had a police force because they did the town it is in have a police force. Guarding the entry to buildings is not the same as policing the entire campus. You are a college student or went to college didn’t you. You have to understand the difference.

Fort Hood is what? we are talking about school safety here. You are showing your a loon by throwing this one out. How do you implement gun control on a military base? Sorry soldiers you can’t have your M-16′s anymore on base.

We are not going to stop every crazy. But guards are the only thing that’s going to protect our children against all attacks. Gun control isn’t going to eliminate illegal guns. Google making a gun and you can learn how to make one. And gun control isn’t going to stop knife attacks.
