    CBS’s hit cop drama will feature previously unreleased music from the late guitar legend Hendrix on a special episode airing Sunday, January 20, the network said Thursday.

    Second, you’re comparing apples and oranges, because you are comparing two comedians to a news figure…
    —————-
    I said this many times comparing Stewart or Colbert to O’Reilly or most other hosts on cable news channels is fair because all of them are entertainers that use politics as a form of creating entertainment

    Good Mornng!! 45 degrees and light rain! Heading to 52 today and 54 tomorrow! A couple more snowless days and that much closer to spring!!! Yeeeee Haaaaa!

    Good Morning Rats & Group !

    Doug Z, I disagree. To date I believe Andrew Jackson was the worst President.

    Not mentioned was that his popularity was due in a large part to his policy of ethnic cleans*ng of the Native American Indians. The Civil War was not our country’s greatest class warfare struggle.

    but,

    Woodrow Wilson is my choice.

    Wilson created the first official propaganda department in the US with the aim of silencing dissent by posters, speeches, by any means possible . All free communication came to an end. People were arrested and indicted for casual remarks made in private conversation .He employed trained group of nearly a hundred thousand men gave four minute speeches to any audience that would listen. They portrayed Wilson as a larger-than-life leader and the Germans as less-than-human Huns, emphasizing fabricated German war crimes and horrors. He used America’s entry into World War I as a rationale for crushing civil liberties.

    In the fashion of a police state, the Department of Justice arrested tens of thousands of individuals without just cause. One was not safe even within the walls of one’s own home to criticize the Wilson administration. All in all it is estimated that about 175,000 Americans were arrested for failing to demonstrate their patriotism in one way or another.

    Then the DOJ oversaw and set up prisons in military camps for Americans that they just couldn’t trust. Approximately 2,000 people were convicted under this Sedition Act under Woodrow Wilson. Many served prison time, many for the rest of the Wilson administration

    Red Cross barred people with German names from working with the Red Cross. They isolated them. German names were then scrubbed from the buildings and streets. Schmidt became Smith. Mueller became Miller.

    Wilson took over the US economy completely. His attempt to control all industry serve as a precursor to the corporatist policies Muss*lini and H*tler. which the good of the unit was sacrificed to the good of the whole

    Wilson was a blatant rac*st who thought blacks were inferior. His goal was to segregate all government departments.He fired most of the African Americans who held posts within the federal government, and segregated the Navy, which until then had been desegregated. Wilson believed white southerners to be the only real citizens and feared what might arise from a south “ruled by an ignorant and inferior race.”

    And don’t forget , he started the IRS & Federal Reserve.

    Both Andrew Jackson & Woodrow Wilson were Democrats.

    Once again they dont tackle the ball carrier, they tackle ref! How about controlling who we treat as opposed to restricting the hospital! We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Screwed up!!

    New York City to Restrict Prescription Painkillers in Public Hospitals’ Emergency Rooms

    Some of the most common and most powerful prescription painkillers on the market will be restricted sharply in the emergency rooms at New York City’s 11 public hospitals, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday in an effort to crack down on what he called a citywide and national epidemic of prescription drug abuse.

    Under the new city policy, most public hospital patients will no longer be able to get more than three days’ worth of narcotic painkillers like Vicodin and Percocet. Long-acting painkillers, including OxyContin, a familiar remedy for chronic backache and arthritis, as well as Fentanyl patches and methadone, will not be dispensed at all.

    Good Friday Morning Everyone

    Hello from flooded Kentucky, but the rain is needed and nice. Drought conditions out West are becoming a Major concern for this coming year, although it’s not as severe yet as the 1930’s dust bowl years, food prices will continue to rise until the drought is over.

    @Ratboy
    Doctors around here are already very strict before prescribing Prescription Painkillers now. Abuse is at epidemic levels in KY.

    @d.d.
    100% agree on Woodrow Wilson.

  • tony

    Old Larry King is ripping Piers Morgan for making the show about Piers Morgan…you think so Larry?

  • Ratboy

    Morning Coffee Dude!
    @Ratboy
    Doctors around here are already very strict before prescribing Prescription Painkillers now. Abuse is at epidemic levels in KY.

    When I messed up my back I went to Urgent Care and they gave me a muscle relaxer and a pain killer. Now keep in mind I have been down the road before so I have an idea of how they were supposed to work. THEY DIDNT! The painkiller was outperformed by Aleve and the muscle relaxer did NOTHING. When I called and asked what was going on the nurse said that the “good stuff” was only prescribed by a doctor. I then said “I thought a doctor saw me, at least everyone SAID she was a doctor” the nurse said oh yea but I mean a REAL doctor. She then said “I didnt just say that by the way”

    We are Soooooooooooooooooooooo Screwed up!!!!!!!

  • Coffee Steve

    @Ratboy

    The problem is as with all things, the innocent is paying for the abusers. The ones that really need the stuff and would not abuse it are being punished by the ones who do abuse it.

    Kind of like gun control. They want to take my guns because of a few idiots that had no business with them to begin with. :-)

  • Ratboy

    Coffee Dude, I am thinking that I am going to sell everything, buy a tent, load up my dogs and smokers and fall off the grid! Find food, kill it, smoke it, eat it! No dealing with people who only want and dont want to give, and no dealing with the government and their idiotic twist on democracy and personal liberty! ooooooooor go look up Navy Dude in Florida and put a trailer right next to his and raid his fridge and use his stuff! :shock:

  • Coffee Steve

    PS:

    I am a coffee abuser, I admit it, I have a problem :shock:

  • Coffee Steve

    @Ratboy

    I have been tempted to pack up, load up, and move to our Cabin in the deep woods at Rough River lake, and just leave the world behind, but with a 13 year old I kinda think she would smack me LOL

  • Coffee Steve

    Have a good morning, have some hospital runs to make

    Peace BBL…

    The Hendrix’s estate has unreleased music by him 40+ years after his death?? They’ll never stop milking the old cow. Maybe it’s just him playing ukulele.
