Suburgatory is another example of how difficult it is to keep a sitcom fresh. The first half of last season was inspired. Then things started slowing down. This season the story lines have been meandering all over the place. I hope the show regains its bearings because the cast is really excellent.

I don’t get why people like modern family…

  • CrimTV

Isn’t Suburgatory like the #2 or #3 comedy on ABC, if so, that’s not a flop, considering that’s out of 8 comedies.

  • s0303

neighbors held the middle’s demo better than i thought it would…maybe if the neighbors had kept the slot after modern family, it would be doing just as well, in not better than subgatory :)

    Go Nashville!!!

  • Ethan

Glad for Nashville…I hope this show can build an audience…really good wholesome show with characters who people can identify with, a talented cast, and the warmth of the country music scene…hope it sticks around

Yay for Nashville! I love watching this show!

The 9:30 slot after Modern Family doesn’t have any competition that starts at the same time on network television. I wonder where Modern’s audience is going? Cable? Suburgatory is one the better sitcoms on television. It’s 2.6 rating is respectable for most newer sitcoms, relatively speaking. The later the time slot the lower the ratings, especially for sitcoms. I wonder how adult themed 2-1/2 Men or 2 Broke Girls would fare with a 9:30 start on CBS. My guess is that they would not be getting anywhere near where they do now.

Suburgatory is no where near being a flop. Glad for Nashville starting to find an audience–great acting and music (coming from someone who doesn’t even listen to country music).

Really liked Suburgatory season 1 but this year has been dreadful – actually painful to watch at times!

Nashville is such a great show. I’m not into country music at all but the songs are great, all the multiple storylines work, the characters are three dimensional and the show manages to mix smart and soapy… hope it continues to rise!

Way to go Nashville love the show and it’s doing pretty well in its time slot. It should be a shoe in for renewal. They should pair it up with Revenge I think it would help them both out.

  • marcos

    nashville got me hooked

  • One

God DAMN you, Neighbors! How dare you steal a tenth from Suburgatory?!!

  • Jenny

Nashville adjusted up and is number 3 on Itunes. Can you say renewal?

  • Bee

OMG YAY NASHVILLE! it really seems to be a great fit with suburgatory. and by 0.1 of a point, those are its second-best numbers to date/best since the series premiere. and i agree, ABC should really nurture it like they did scandal. its a bit trickier since its latest episodes are better and more addictive than the early ones, but it can work. hope it continues to build.

I gonna check out Nashville again since everyone is saying its getting better each episode. Thank god for Hulu plus! 2.1 is pretty good. Not as good as revenge but this show could grow. It doesn’t seem as heavily serialized as Revenge is.

Right you are! Where’s that pesky black light?!?

I’m happy for Nashville. ABC would be dumb to not renew it for a 2nd season. Even their music is charting high on the iTunes Country Charts. They have a song right now at No. 9!!! Plus another 14 in the Top 200 Country Songs. This is an amazing show with incredible talent and great music.
