The people here are hilarious. All the TBBT haters are now coming here saying how they hate the show, and how overrated it is. Yet, it is the biggest hit on TV since Friends and drawing 20 million people in same day viewing, and also is the # 1 show in syndication, as well. I guess someone out there likes it. TBBT doesn’t need the haters to watch or like it. It is doing just fine without you.
@were123: As much as I’d like that I guess we won’t see that height again anytime soon. Remember that Idol premieres next week and – while down last year – this will provide a more serious competition (most likely something between a 4.0 and 5.0) than the show has faced this season. Also, Vampire Diaries should be back again, bringing the CW totals above a 1.0 again.
Friends-BBT-Whitney in that order, don’t worry Whitney is on its own way trust me.

Last Resort should be sorted above Mobbed; they tied in rating and share, but LR had [much] more total viewers.
I figure this, if BBT could beat American Idol last year, when BBT was putting up good numbers, but not as high, imagine what they could do this year, even with the hype of new judges on American Idol. I’m just saying.

Wow at that rate it would take TBBT almost 40 million viewers to get the 11.0-12.0 rating Friends used to get. I guess TBBT is quite as young skewing as Friends was
And let’s not forget that Raymond/TaaHM were *live*, Nielsen didn’t measure DVR usage at the time.

Even with the Gunsmoke Rule in mind, POI’s 3.0 average now does not equate to GA’s 9.4 average back then.

I absolutely mean that. The biggest hit prior to TBBT post Friends was Everyone Loves Raymond. It averaged 17.4 million viewers. TBBT is currently averaging 20.3 million. Remember, these are different eras where Nielsen uses DVR added ratings to figure yearly raings. TBBT will easily be the highest rated sitcom since Friends this season. It will blow away Raymond and the 2 1/2 Men numbers and has an outside chance of catching Friends 20.8 million. Remember, TBBT is in an era of cable TV originals, online viewing and DVR viewing while Friends only had same day ratings. TBBT is easily the biggest hit since Friends.

TAHM in its prime. CBS make the same mistake like ABC. They don’t stop TAHM when was the time and now this show will be so bad(for that money) without BBT lead. Even if actors start taking 1 million per episode. ANd even BBT to start hit 7.0 TAHM won’t grow anymore. Its old.
