Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Very funny TBBT and fantastic POI episode.

Those who think POI is just another CBS procedural should watch last night’s episode. It is so much more than that.

  • Wally Sparks

With Grey’s aging it may be a good idea to shift it to 8 next year and have Scandal take the 9pm slot. Can someone who watches the show, who isn’t a nutcase, tell me if it has long-term staying power to anchor a night for a few years?

  • senor chang

the Scandal 10PM situation seems strangely analoguous to what’s happening with Chicago Fire right now (little-hyped drama ends up triumphing over new hyped show that ends up performing unspectacularly). the difference seems to be that it’s less affected by its competition, whereas Chicago Fire’s still getting knocked down by CSI whenever the two go head-to-head. still a good case to study for the other three networks: give a quality show some time and support, and maybe it’ll end up doing you some good!

  • Steve

Now that Scandal has become a serious beast, put it with Revenge. It doesnt need the Grey’s lead in anymore and I think Scandal and Revenge instead of being “rivals” as everyone here seems to think they are, they could be a powerhouse together. Put them together on Sunday, maybe even put Scandal at 9 and Revenge at 10.

  • Baaa!

GJ TBBT and Scandal. TBBT series highs do not surprise as it was strong before facing even weaker competition from the other networks. Scandal is more of a surprise as its rise has been impressive and I keep hearing more about it from the watercooler crowd.

  • Clarke

I had a feeling this episode of TBBT would score huge ratings because of the Star Trek: Next Gen. theme & lack of real competition. I think the show appeals to all generations unlike NBC’s thursday night comedies which have more niche/subtle humor.

  • ClamCam

Scandal is a guilty pleasure and people (myself included) are discovering it..Revenge is also a guilty pleasure…and even they can be compatible together on a sunday night….So, please stop the comparisons and trolling, both shows are good for ABC..this is not the CW guys! Both shows will be renewed…!

  • Skylar James

Grey’s will be tied with POI once adjustments come in

    Go TBBT!

  • RyanCanada

Scandal was amazing last night! taped 1600 Penn, taped grey’s and taped TBBT

  • onion

1600 Penn rerun only behind two tenth all-new episode, even MORE total viewers.
    Such Fun :)

  • Brian J

Excellent numbers for “Scandal.” Just goes to show you that a show can still grow, even if it’s kind of out of nowhere. ABC has to be pleased with this. It looks like it has a legitimately hot show on its hands, and it given the problems it has on most other nights, this is a big deal.

Simply stunned at “Bang.” There are just no words to describe how hot “Bang” is. It’s leaving every other show in its dust and shows no signs of slowing down.

  • Shaun P

Glad greys is up :D ,! I need to start watching scandal and POI – even though I’m always rooting for GA to win that time slot (which I hope it does in the finals) I have nothing against POI – heck I bet I’ll even love it considering Michael Emerson is in it and its a Nolan creation too!!

  • Bookworm

I agree. Scandal is very close to hitting a 3.0 and when it does, I will hit the ceiling! Grey was a great lead in for it but Scandal is hot on its tail and I won’t be shocked if we see them both produce a 3.0 on the same night. As for Revenge, I watch the show but the storyline is starting to lack a little–I get bored half way through it and I do see it hitting the low 2.0’s sometimes. Scandal can go back to their 2.0’s (that was their home for a while) but a show like Revenge doing it won’t be a good look.

Either way, I wish it luck but the writers need to sharpen up a little more. Take some notes from Scandal on how to writer an episode that gives you just enough to come back!!

  • Barb

Yesterday’s POI was one of the best eppies to the show has aired to date. Excellent!!!

  • were123

TBBT keeps rising! Idol has NO CHANCE at all against it.
Really good for Scandal! Now it’s a shoe in for renewal, I just hope some other ABC dramas like Revenge and OUAT can rise too :D

  • Ram510

After how graphic last nights episode was I do t think they would put Scandal on at 10, not unless they tone it down just a little for season 3, which is clearly a no brainer.

  • Ateofi

Take it easy Max. These are just tv shows. I don’t watch Scandal and Revenge but your posts are radiculous.

  • Alex

I know it’s dead show walking, but I still greatly enjoyed Last Resort last night and am looking forward to seeing how the arc resolves itself. Interesting to see that it managed to come in second place in Viewers Live+SD.
