Coffee Steve – I’m still waiting for NASA & NOAA to correct the assumption that this current heating period is worse than the dust bowl years of the 1930?s.
———————————–
PigsRats will fly before that happens.Letmethink – I won’t speak for Hillbilly as he is my future son-in-law and I don’t want to do anything to offend him. But, I am sure that he is a handsome, intelligent, wealthy genius and totally understands everything there is to know about AGW—yes HB?
—————————————–
Right on all accounts but one.
I don’t claim to be a expert nor do i know everything about GW. There’s time when reading the formulas ( Zx 78w = 98 watts squared ^7 degrees -10^ = 34a) my eyes glaze over. They give global temps to the 0.003. They can’t give a 7 day forecast that accurate. CO2 is 300+ parts per million of the atmosphere, whats the other 999,700? What’s the global temp today? What was the global temp in 1880? Then my biggest problems is with the computer models. How many times do they have to be proven wrong until they scrap them & start over?
Matthew – Read what you bolded! “LOWER THAN PREDICTED,” not “lower than the last decade,” not “lower than the long-term average,” lower than predicted. Without a baseline to compare it to, you predicted neither.
————————————–
BINGO! You finally (after 3 days?) admit to using the baseline to say its not cooling its just less warmer. To get back to the baseline cooling has to start sometime. Just as i said days ago multiple times, 2011 & 2012 are cooler than 2010. 2011 & 2012 are still above the baseline (whatever that is scientists can’t agree) but cooling has occurred. You insist no cooling has occurred because temps are still above the baseline, still hotter than a decade ago, not lower than the long term average..etc.
If you have a pot of boiling water in a room where the temp is 70 degrees & turn the flame off does the water instantly go back 70 degrees? So until the water cools to 70 degrees it’s not cooling, it’s just less warmer using your logic.
I never said cooler than the baseline, cooler than a decade ago, cooler than the long term average. I said cooling from their revised predictions.
Matthew – No, they didn’t whittle the whole survey down to 77.
————————————-
How do you get the 97% figure then?
For $2 you can read responses from scientists that actually took part in the survey, taken from the appendi of the MSc thesis.

Just like i said days ago, your using the baseline to claim no warming.
